I moved into Arbor Park Apartments in December 2021. About a month or so after my move in, I noticed a loud humming sound in my apartment. It sounds like the loud hum/buzz of an electric billboard sign. I notified the office manager and leasing office. The office heard the sound and sent an AC repair man to the roof to find the problem. The AC repair man said that there is nothing wrong with the unit, however, every time my downstairs neighbor turns on the ac or heater, the loud buzzing/hum turns on. Since it has been hot in CA lately, the buzz/hum plays constantly. I have not been able to sleep due to this loud noise at night. I even have to leave my apartment because the noise gives me a headache. It is especially loud in my bedroom. I have it recorded on my phone. I have reached out to the office and nothing has been done. The office has tried to tell me that this sound is "normal" and that every apartment with central heating has this noise. I KNOW this is not the case because I have lived in apartments my entire life and have never had this issue. At this point, I would like to be able to exit from my 12 month lease without penalty and have a reasonable time to look for an apartment to move. I am so unhappy that nothing has been done and that it is now MARCH without any resolution. I have only lived here for 3 months and I am upset that I even have to move again. It will cost me additional money to move and time to find another place to live to that is close to my work and is affordable.Business response

Hi ******,
I would like to address this complaint.
- We have offered Jennifer options for a move out. She stated personally to me on 3/30/22 that she would not like to move out and is working with us to find and potentially address this “noise”.
- We have had 2 qualified licensed specialist inspect and address the A/C unit she states Is causing excessive noise. The 1st vendor found no issues and that it was a newer AC unit in regular operating condition, along with the environment nearby.
- Jennifer and I discussed on 3/30/22 that she would be glad to be patient with us further trying to find the actual noise itself, let alone what is causing the alleged noise. It seems that she is not being upfront with management about her requests or intentions, so there is no way to properly service her.
Please call me on my mobile phone if you have additional questions, ###-###-####.
