I have been renting from *********** Renewal for 3 years now, and it hasnt necessarily been a bad experience up until recently. To preface this complaint, I would like to add that I have always paid rent in a timely manner, I have repaired minor annoyances such as replaced shower heads, door locks, toilet supply lines, etc on my own just because I can and its easier for me than making a work order.July 1st our ** went out completely, no power no air nothing. I submitted a work order and MSR assigned it to an **** company who came out on July 3rd. The **** tech concluded that we had faulty wiring, a leaking compressor that had failed, and black mold entirely enveloping our system and ductwork and that he would recommend an entirely new system but that he couldnt perform any of the work needed because MSR is historically cheap and ghetto. Since the day of the appointment with **** company, we havent heard a word from MSR.*** sent emails asking for info politely, Ive informed them I would be contacting code enforcement for health concerns. Code Enforcement was very helpful and documented all violations and opened a case, he recommended that even if the ** is fixed, not to turn it on unless the ductwork was replaced as well due to the amount of mold in the system. It is now July 24th, we still have no air conditioning. It stays around ***** degrees inside with no air flow. My 6 year old and fianc are trapped in a single bedroom with a window unit we had to purchase to try to cool just one section of the house. We still havent received ANY correspondence from MSR. As a renter who prides himself on being an outstanding tenant and leaving a property better than when moving in, Im disgusted by this companies lack of care and respect for my family and health. We just want our ** fixed and the health dangers removed.
