Dont work here if you see this. They preach about treating employees like family but its quite the opposite. If you see something concerning then you are better off not reporting it. Either it takes forever to get fixed/repaired or management doesnt care or puts a band-aid over it. If you have an idea for improvement dont bother. Itll get stolen from you by someone higher than you or disregarded because they dont realize how helpful it would be. Anything that makes a manager or whoever look bad to their boss makes it personal for them. So if you are honest about a process that doesnt make sense or something that isnt being fixed, being done, or a problem solved. They take it out on you at a later date. Ive seen people incur their wrath and start to get written up for minuscule things. Mistakes are tough for the company and most people get that but if you got written up for every mistake then there wouldnt be any workers left. There is no communication at this company period. Its like a game of telephone around there. Slowly over time the information gets diluted to the point where the supervisors that are supposed to tell you whats going on dont know. Upper management only comes around to see the numbers and leaves shortly after but if the numbers are bad then theyll sit there and rip into you about numbers being low for whatever the reason is. If you are doing time demanding profiles or units then its held against you. The safety and cleanliness is ridiculous. There are cockroaches in break rooms, belts about to snap on conveyors (unfixed for months while everyone up to the plant manager knew), not performing maintenance on the equipment (if its busy we have to neglect it till next week sometimes), extremely poor stacking of product that led to injuries, water leaking from the roof onto machines, wires, and other equipment, a finicky emergency stop on the stacking machine (it wasnt working and they still were told to use it).
