We made a deposit July 8, 2023. The owner told me that the carpet would be installed without the seams showing. We scheduled theInstall TBA for the Week of 7/30/23 but then the owner neglected to order my carpet and schedule the install in a timely fashion. They came for the install on 8/2/23 with the incorrect color and without enough carpet to finish the job. The owner promised me that they would be back early the following week to install the right color. We waited a week and never heard from him so we called 2 weeks later **** scheduled the install on a Saturday early afternoon. WE received a call later that afternoon from **** telling us that the customer they were installing wanted one more room carpeted so they wouldn't be coming. When I complained that they had not finished the job at our house why should we be amenable He was very rude and disrespectful inferring that we should be grateful. When they showed up days later they brought the wrong carpet again. I asked his installers about Saturday and they informed me that nothing had been scheduled on Saturday because they dont work on Saturday. Im not sure why **** scheduled my install on a day that his installers don't even work on. So, I cancelled with them and 2 days later EMPIRE CARPET installed the correct carpet and were paid for their services. The Capet has been in my house for 2 months and the seams are showing in every room in high traffic areas. After posting a review on yelp I was harassed and bullied by this business owner for payment and he claimed that he had recorded my calls. Now I have to find another carpet company to come and re install the carpet.Business response

It was nice speaking with you earlier. This client as far as we are concerned, terminated the contract for the additional bedroom without a payment to us for the majority of the work completed and without a good faith effort to make any kind of communication or payment with us and left us hanging with a balance, while the majority of the job was already installed for her and her husband. None of the furniture was moved properly and we had to do additional effort and resources to accommodate her at no additional charge. The carpet color for the downstairs didnt come as what we had needed and we told her we be more than happy to re-ordered the color For the downstairs and she did not give us an opportunity to do that nor did she give us any payment for the work that was rendered over to her. We attempted to call and message both her and her husband to try and communicate with them with no success And they put their phone on blocked. No call accepted. They went so far as to try to damage our name after not giving us payment at which point we had no choice but to call them and let them know that we need to get our payment collected as they kept further trying to damage our business . Only once we ask for payment for the work that was rendered did they decide to write the Better Business Bureau and additional outlets because they were hoping that we dont collect on the work that was already completed and they will get a service and insulation out of this.

On May 11, 2023, I had my family room and hallway floors done. I went from carpet to laminate flooring. The ******* did damage to an antique coffee table and hutch. He laid a caulking gun on the table which dripped caulking. My table is sensitive to liquids. Plus the caulking stained the table. There is a scratch across the table as well. On the hutch there is several stains from a can that had some substance on the bottom and then placed on my hutch. I informed the owner about 3 times about the coffee table and once for the hutch, he said when the floor guy has time, he'll come fix it. I don't want that, not that I had to worry because he never showed up. It's been 3 months since this damage was done. I also want a receipt for the work done for these 2 areas (family room and hallway). I've asked about 5 times for a receipt and was told it was in the office. When I went to pick it up, no receipt. I sent a letter to the owner asking for the receipt and wanting it mailed to me or emailed to me. Neither was done. I feel this should have been addressed right away.Customer response
