On 3-4-2022 I contracted with this Iron welder to build a double gate for my property, that would swing open in both directions. Upon delivery the gate was not what was proposed in the drawing. I accepted the changes. The gate was mostly installed. However, many fine details needed to be finished. Metal trim, a gate wheel, the gate needed to be leveled to prevent sagging. A proper gate cane bolt needed to be installed. There were many issues with the gate the wood panels were not cut or completely stained. The work was completed in haste that day as if they wanted to leave, and not as per contract. The above was not completed per the contract. The work they did required the gate be touched up with paint. The sprayer they used caused over spray onto the concrete, side of my house and a new window recently installed. They said they would be back out to fix all the items that were wrong with the gates. They dis say they would but when I pushed the issues that were wrong with the gate. They basically said I was wrong and that I didn't know how to speak to people. The refused to come out and repair the gate as per contract and pictures shown to me of their work and what my gate would look like. Because I was left with an unfinished gate that would not close lock or stay shut in the wind, I found a welder that would finish the gate. He indicated to me that many things with the gate were poorly and incorrectly done. Ex. gate hinges not aligned causing gate to bind, the sagging of gate due to posts not being thick enough, not having a cane bolt installed as it should be. This welder has since corrected the gate to work but not rebuild the gate. Which is what needs to be done if the gates are to be good for a life time. I am looking for some resolve with this company. Compensation for money I spent on parts to fix gate and the money I paid for the repairs that should have been done by this company instead of the welder I hired. total costs can be provided. **** dollars.
