I will NEVER buy a KIA again. First off I have a 2016 KIA Sorento I bought back in 2018. April 20,2022 was driving to work and out of nowhere had engine failure. It is known for my year and model of car that this has randomly been happening. Reached out to KIA to see what could be done. They said they sent out 2 notices to have something added so would get a notice before engine failure. The first notice was sent to the previous owner before I had the car and the 2nd was sent sometime at the end of 2019 or so but they have no records of when it was sent out or if I even received. So of course after poor customer service and each time I called being on hold for over an hour each time they finally said I would have to pay $5700 out of pocket. Considering I still owe on the car my hands were tied so had to get it fixed. Fast forward to last few weeks. Finally got my car back at the end of July and after having for 2 days realized my heat was not working (even though was working when I had to towed to KIA in Toledo, OH to replace engine). It is now over 2 weeks and I still do not have my car back. KIA has not reached out giving me an update I have to call and check in just to see what is going on. Per dealership they have done everything corporate has told them to do and now just waiting to hear back again on what to do since that didn't work. Customer service is horrible and how as a service department do you have to wait to hear from corporate on what to do. As of today KIA corporate finally replied back to dealership with more tests to run. They claim will call me back to give an update but not holding my breathe.

Absolute scam artists that want to deceive , trick, and con people. They would not take a wire transfer from my bank and demanded, that I get a cashier's check and send them a photocopy to hold the car. I booked a flight cause they knew I was from out of state. They told me to FedEx the check even though I was flying there the day after next. I forgot to FedEx the cashier's check, thank you God. And the next night, before I am gonna fly I contact them that I didn't FedEx overnight the check after an hour they tell me they sold the car the night before after they told me to get the check send them a copy and FedEx overnight it. I wasted two plane tickets and many hours following these scammers directions. Not sure what they did was illegal but it was immoral to say the least.
