I was referred to Sybex Studios, i.e., *****************************, through a ******** wedding group. He contacted me on 1/15/2022 with a link to his videography portfolio, and then emailed me with a quote for wedding videography services on 9/24/22. I was informed that of the following "For 8 hours we normally are at $2500.This includes:One professional videographer Professional camera audio and lighting Complete edit RAW footage Short highlight"After determining that I would like to move forward with Sybex Studios for videography services, a contract was signed on 1/25/22 for the amount of $2750. ***** instructed me to send money via zelle, and payment was sent in the amount of $1000 on 1/26/22 and $250 on 1/27/22. In between booking ***** for the wedding and the wedding date, he was responsive via text and email. He arrived at our agreed upon destination at the scheduled time and was present throughout the wedding day. Although I cannot confirm whether he took footage, it appeared that he did. According to the contract, the remaining balance of $1500 was due by the day of the event. I sent the money via zelle that night and the following day, and they posted 9/26/22 as two transactions totaling $1750. Over text, we had decided to add on drone footage, which was an additional $200 plus $50 tip. I last heard from ***** on 10/6/22. I texted him inquiring about the turn-around time for the video and he responded saying it would be 4-5 weeks. I have attempted to contact him via text, phone call, and email on multiple occasions since then. He has not responded, though social media indicates that he is alive and working. I began to feel worried and did some further research about Sybex Studios/Media and *****************************. His ******** and yelp reviews indicate he has a history of "ghosting" people after their wedding, and he has failed to provide the product paid for on multiple occasions. I approached Sybex Studio with a request to do a music video for my current release You are the One. I wanted a supernatural love story filmed on a rooftop and one interior location. He said he had that. Then, after he secured $800 of a $`1200 deposit he said his landlord didn't want anyone filming on the rooftop. I said I didn't want to do it without that. He talked me into doing it anyway that he'd help me with the rooftop alternate location. I also tried to find an alternate location. No luck. Then, my producer, who owns the song, said the storyline is contradictory to the brand, so I was not to link this story to the song or he'd pull rights to the video and rights to use the song. So I considered going forward with a different song, but I could not secure a location I asked for my deposit back again and ********************** stopped responding to my texts, calls, and email. I want my money back. We don't have any paperwork just the payments I sent him via third party Cashapp. One payment for $800 on 4/2 and one 4/7/22 for $400.Initial Complaint

I filmed a music video with Sybex Studio at Firehouse Studio in *******, ** on December 20th 2021.Everything went fine and I paid in full $3000.When ***************************** (Sybex Studio) sent an edit of the video it was titled advanced cut. The music and the lyrics were out of sync and half of it was in black and white which was never discussed. I knew then he was a scammer. I looked him up on Yelp and there weee many reviews detailing similar behavior.I remained professional and got a second edit from him which was still amateur and unreleasable. Too many mistakes and he didnt care what the director or I said about it. He talked down to us like we didnt know what were were talking about.I requested my money back and the footage as well. He hasnt responded to those requests and he still has content from my video on his social media. I asked him to remove that (since he cant deliver a good video) and I do t want him using my image to promote himself. When he doesnt care about the video.
