El Dorado Roofing (***************************** - Owner) installed a new roof on my home in September 2020; I paid $15,550.00 for the new roof. The contract with El Dorado Roofing stated that the warranty covered: "Ten (10) years from us against any normal wear and tear issues and leaks". In October 2021, the roof failed during a rainstorm causing water to pour through the roof into the kitchen, causing damage to the ceiling, wall and cabinets. I lost use of the kitchen for six weeks as ServPro Restoration performed water control and mold remediation, at a personal cost of $4735.00. El Dorado Roofing workers came to inspect the damage and quickly blamed the leakage on an unsealed skylight. While they didn't admit responsibility to improperly reinstalling and sealing the skylight during their roof installation, they agreed to order a new skylight; the cost of the new skylight was $950.00, which they expected me to pay. Throughout the rainy season of 2021 and 2022, the roof has continued to leak. I have reached out to the owner, *****************************, 20+ times by phone for his assistance to stop the leaking. More often than not my calls go unanswered. When he does respond to my pleas for assistance, his crew often does not show up or he states that he forgot to come to my home. On July 13, I called ***************************** report that the roof was leaking again, His determination was that the poor seals around ***************** were the cause. His crew came out to "properly" seal the three small windows. Most recently and once again, water began coming through the roof with the rains of September 17 & 18. Clearly, the seals around the ***************** were not the cause of the leakage. It is clear that ****************** and his team are unable to correctly assess the source of the leaking. Since their work so far has not stopped the leaking, it is evident that the roof over the kitchen/family room needs to be repair or the home's entire roof needs to be replaced due to original poor workmanship.Business response

El Dorado Roofing installed a new roof on this home in November 2019. It is under warranty.On 10/24/21, a water leak occurred in the roof and caused interior drywall damage. Subsequent inspection found several nail-pops and loose shingles. We contacted our home owners insurance and they sent out a contractor to install a tarp over the roof. When the leak was discovered, on 10/24/21, I contacted El Dorado immediately and did not receive a reply until 10/29/21, when they said they would take a look on Monday 11/1/21. Two employees did come by today, stood outside for 5 minutes and then left. I need this roof repaired and the interior drywall repaired immediately. This is all under warranty. I need this resolved now.
