On the night of August 31st, my boyfriend and I arrived at Mikado hotel for a reservation we believed to be from August 30th to 31st, initially booked through Expedia. However, upon check-in, we realized that the reservation was actually for August 31st to September 1st. We kept the reservation through Expedia and booked the same room for that night through the actual hotel. Despite this, we proceeded to our room and noticed a dead bug between the plastic door at the entrance. Initially, we didn't think much of it, since it was dead.After a full day of running errands, we returned to our room and were dismayed to discover eight small to medium-sized roaches crawling on the bed, walls, and nightstand. We also found blood on the carpet, mold in the bathroom, etc. Concerned about this unsanitary situation, my boyfriend approached the front desk, where they offered us an alternative room. To our dismay, this room also had a ***** infestation in the other side of the building that was not connected.When I went down to the front desk to request a refund and check out, the receptionist informed me that I was the first guest in his eight years of employment to complain about roaches. Ironically, as he was reassuring me, the largest ***** we had seen so far crawled along the wall behind him, highlighting the severity of the issue. Disturbed by this experience, I checked out and left the hotel. Upon returning home, I decided to read reviews on Yelp and discovered approximately 300 complaints about roaches in this hotel over the past three years. Given the extent of the issue and the unsanitary conditions we encountered, I am now seeking a full refund for our stay. Additionally, I am requesting compensation for the items we were forced to leave behind in the room to avoid bringing roaches into our home.Furthermore, I would like to emphasize that our interaction with the receptionist, *******, was marked by extreme rudeness and unprofessionalism. In fact, he abruptly hung up my call when i requested to speak with a manager. It has been now been a full week since I initially reached out via email and phone in an attempt to communicate with either Manager/ supervisor **** or ******, and unfortunately, I have yet to receive any response. *******, a staff member at the front desk, who took the extraordinary step of blocking my phone number and making unwarranted threats has left me in a state of distress and discomfort. Compounding these issues is the fact that the hotel has currently withheld my funds and has not taken any initiative to establish contact with me. I find myself in a state of considerable unease and uncertainty due to these circumstances.Initial Complaint

I want a refund on my hotel stay. The room was dirty with dirt over every wall in the room. Carpets were dirty and our feet instantly turned black. The wallpaper was peeling offf walls and had moisture. Im sure there was mold under it because the room had an awful smell. The tv had spots i it so couldnt watch shows properly. We saw roaches. The sink was old and looked awful. Water pressure was low in shower. Walls and door frames water damage .
