On 01/4/22, I called Ifix and stated my washer was leaking water. An ifix employee and an assistant arrived. They inspected my washer and stated it only recquired cleaning/maintenance due to a back up. The work was completely by them and I was charged $115. I used my washer a week later and it continued to leak water. I called ifix and stated my washer was still leaking water. I was advised the employee would return my call. I have not heard back from ifix for more than a week. I called on five different occasions and was told each time the employee would return my call. I would like my washer repaired or my money returned.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/17) */ Contact Name and Title: Anna I********* Contact Phone: ********** Contact Email: ************************* We were called to *********** on January 4th to diagnose 2 appliances, a refrigerator and a washer. We have assessed both and provided an estimate. The refrigerator repair was turned down. On the washer, the water dispenser appeared to be clogged, causing overflow, so it was cleaned. No other issues were detected after this was done. The technicians left charging $115 for both, refrigerator diagnostics and washer dispenser cleaning. When *********** called us again with the same complaint of washer leaking, we have passed this information to our technician. He suggested that the part, called water dispenser housing assembly, should be replaced. He said he would look for it and call *********** back. Unfortunately, after several attempts to find it, he was not able to locate the part. When *** ******* called again, the technician said he would call to update him on the issue, but wasn't able to reach him. Unfortunately, he did not leave a message and thought he would call again later. It was never our intent to upset the customer and we truly apologize for lack of communication. At the time of this writing the technician has tried reaching out to *********** again, this time leaving a message, just to update him on the situation. Since the part for this unit is not available and the cleaning of dispenser did not help, we would be happy to refund the cleaning cost back to the customer. The total invoice price paid was $115. Our diagnostics service call charge for refrigerator is $69, the remaining balance for cleaning is $46, which we would be happy to refund with our apologies. If this is a satisfactory solution, we will mail a check to the address on file. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/02/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I was never advised of a $69.00 service charge. The response from the to the business to the BBB due to my complaint also did not mention a service fee. I expect a full refund of $115.00 Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/03/01) */ We do not provide free estimates. *********** was advised about the service call when scheduling an appointment. This is our standard procedure. *********** was also advised that the service call fee would be applied to the repair cost if he proceeded with repairs. We did wave the service fee initially, when provided the washer cleaning, and did not charge a diagnostics fee for refrigerator. However, if requesting a refund for the washer, the fee is applied. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/03/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The only fee ever discussed was a $20 fee for a diagnosis of my refrigerator and the discussion was between ****, an Ifix technician, and I. **** stated he was charging me a $20 fee for the refrigerator diagnostic and $95 for the maintenance on my washer. The charge totaled $115.00, which I paid by check. I see no reason why I would be charged a $69 service and an additional $20 diagnosis fee. On the "MEMO" section of the check I wrote "Washer/Refrigerator", please review the check I wrote to pay for the service. Either **** is being dishonest to the company or the company is not being honest. I will agree to a $20 fee. The company should also investigate ****** past practices. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/03/04) */ Our regular service call fee is $69. $20 service fee is only charged, when other services are being provided. Since *********** is being refunded for the additional service, regular service fee is due.
