on 5/1/23 I contacted H2O Plumbing to give me an estimate on fixing my water heater. The company offered free estimates. The owner came over and pressed a button and it started. He then gave my daughter a bill for ******. He was here for only about **** minutes. She gave him my credit card. I was very upset about the charges since it was supposed to be a free estimate. I contacted him and discussed at length about my disagreement about and he agreed to come by and drop off my refund. He never came and I tried to contact him a couple of times with no response.Business response

Customer said she wanted her water heater fixed as soon as possible. I went and got it fixed and working. She said it was a free estimate , but the issue and work was solved and done at that moment, I got it started which was something that only professionals would be able to figure out, something they (Person that submitted complaint) couldn't do ,which was the reason they called ** for our services . We charged for the time, gas and service that was done that day.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: He just pressed a button and it turned on. After a discussion with him he promised a refund. He is taking advantage of women and seniors.
Sincerely,

I hired a plumber in October 2021 to install new water lines and install a new water heater. I pulled the permit myself. The city inspector that came wanted to clarify that the water heater was the right size and he wanted the plumbers license listed on the permit. I have dealt with the inspector separately regarding the sizing. I held back some money from the plumber until the permit had been transferred and around October 2022, he told me that if I pay him in full he will transfer the permit. I told him that I would do that in good faith and sent a check the same day. He later sent me a text that he was working on having the permit transferred. Then he went dead silent. Until he called me today to say that he is "too busy" to transfer the permit and won't do it. This prevents me from finalizing the building permit required by law and to sell my condo. My plan right now is to have a different inspector inspect his work, then put his own name on the permit and close it out. Then file a small claims court case against H2O for having to hire a different plumber in order to close out the permit for the work he did. I paid $5,399 for the work that H2O Plumbing did. Preferably I would like H2O to put his license number on the permit so we can have it closed out. I will be very painless for both parties and the work is already done and fully paid for. I believe it will cost around $100 to file a supplemental permit (that's the process to have his license number added), which I will be happy to pay for.
