****** with this company gave us a quote to redo some brickwork in the backyard. He gave us a total and also a timeline. He described the process in detail and we felt good to move forward. We paid the down payment and his team started the work. They demoed the bricks throughout the entire backyard and around our pool area and stopped showing up to work days after they'd begun. ****** kept saying that he would be on site to drop off some tools and supplies at lunch time the next day and this went on for a couple of days. We did not see him however. He finally mentioned that he needed to pay his workers and said that he had underestimated the job a little bit. We were happy to cut him another check to continue the work. He gave us a new timeline and showed up with a worker and started to place a very small patch of bricks for the day. That was the last time we saw him or his team. ****** stopped communicating via text phone call and email. Our backyard was left in a terrible mess with demoed bricks piled high and also the remaining bricks to be reused piled high. I am 81 years old with mobility issues and have no idea how to deal with this situation. My daughter is now helping me.$2,900 was paid to *************************** of Mazive Inc. ************ and Landscaping (see attachment) out of the what was supposed to be a $5,215 total job. We've since received quotes from other contractors of $28,000 to fix the mess.
