I contacted Auxiliary Executive Auto Group (AEAG) on a **** 500c Pop that they were selling. I asked several questions about the vehicle including the operation of the roof. Does it operate? Does it go all the way up and down? I was told that the roof did function properly. I was given several pictures of the vehicle with the roof all the way down and all the way up. The vehicle shipped from their location in ********** on 3/27/24. I received the vehicle in **** on 4/1/24. I inspected the vehicle and found that the trunk would not open and the roof did not operate. I contacted AEAG immediately about these issues. **** suggested that I take it to a mechanic. I asked AEAG if they had any idea of what happened that the roof does not operate now. AEAG said "They have no idea what happened it was working perfectly possibility is they damage the roof during the shipping, anyway we are here for you." I took the vehicle to a dealer/service near me in ****. The service dealer reviewed the vehicle. They found that someone had removed the (2) sun visors, removed the front header, unplugged the roof controls, and put it back together, leaving it unplugged. The Service Dealer said "you would only unplug the roof if it does not work." He plug the roof back in and sure enough, it did not work. As the motor operated, parts fell off. The Service Dealer said that the roof needs to be replace and they quoted a price of $9,695.25 + tax. I talked with AEAG on 4/4/24 about the roof and they wanted to talk with their mechanic. Talked again on 4/5/24 and they were still waiting on their mechanic. Later on 4/5/24, **** told me "his father had passed and he was with family give him a few days." This would be the last time I talked with AEAG. On 4/10/24, I called several times, left a voice mail and text. No response. On 4/11/24, I left a text stating I would go to the next legal step if I did hear from them. I contacted them again on 4/15/24, still no response.
