Date: 26 August 2023 On the 25 Aug (day prior) I paid for a big repair done to my 2001 BMW 740il. I had some engine work done, in total we spent around $3500 between parts, and I work at a car shop in Camarillo, who did my repair. My husband picked her up at 3:00 and took her to get detailed. On the 26th in the later morning, we took the BMW and our 1993 Cadillac Deville to 5 Points to get the engine and undercarriage wash. I heard about this place for a while that they are the best at this, and I refer a LOT of my customers to wash their vehicles after an oil leak. My BMW came out and the manager informed me that my car was not going into reverse, was it like that before? I was confused since I just had the car FIXED less than 24 hours prior and was driving BEAUTIFULLY. The check engine light was on, the transmission failsafe light was on, and she was barely going into gears. I opened the hood and walked around the car. THERE WAS WATER ALL OVER MY FUSEBOX. ON top of that, the car water marks all over the car, the wheels were filthy, and it appeared it was sprayed with the WINDOWS DOWN. He informed me that he told me they 'weren't liable', but WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU SPRAY MY FUSEBOX ??!! And why would you wash it with the windows down? I told him the car was just detailed less than 24 hours ago! There was no help from the manager. There were no apologies. There was no offer to make anything better. No customer service. There was no one else to talk to but him. On top of that, he told my husband to 'watch what he says'. My husband and I, angry and this point and want our money back. The Cadillac was fine. The manager said this was the first time this happened, and for me too !! All the times I have had her engine washed, and this has NEVER happened. I towed my car back to my shop and she's still being diagnosed for an electrical problem after this wash. I want our money back and some additional due to now having to have it DIAGNOSED after they SPRAYED MY FUSE BOX.

I took my ford excursion to five points car wash on 1/12/2023 at 1:15 PM for a full detail. This was supposed to include cleaning the inside of the car and an exterior wash, no where listed does it say that they would pressure wash our engine bay. Upon dropping it off they said it would be a couple hours and they would call us when it was done. At 4:50 we hadn’t received a call so we called them and they said oh yeah it’s done but we close in ten minutes so we rushed over to get our vehicle since we didn’t want it sitting on the lot. When we arrived we tipped the workers and they gave us our keys and immediately upon turning on the vehicle the workers said oh by the way it smells like gas when you turn it on. We had NEVER had this issue before and when we checked the dash the check engine light was now on which hadn’t been on when we dropped it off either. When we said “what did you do to our engine none of this occurred when we dropped it off” the owner stated “the engine got wet but it will be fine just let it dry but I have to go.” When we told the owner that if he damaged the engine it’s his fault as we didn’t sign anything stating we released liability he simply shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Our vehicle was so damaged that we couldn’t even drive it off the lot and had to pay for a tow truck to come get it. We now have to file a claim with our insurance as our car doesn’t even drive due to the damage they caused. This needs to be reported as this company should issue a refund for the car wash as well as pay for the damages since it was their fault for spraying the entire engine so much that it was damaged.

On 9/25/22, I leased a brand new Cadillac. The car is garaged and not driven daily. On 11/4/22, I took the car to five points for its first car wash. I chose a hand wash because I was concerned about the rims getting damaged through the drive through wash there. I explained to the manager it was my first time with black rims so I was being extra safe with the car. I paid $40 and waited for my car. Once complete, immediately upon entering my car I noticed the windshield was awfully dirty looking with water spots. I figured they forgot the windshield and I didn’t want to complain in front of other customers so I left it and decided I would wipe them myself. I went home, tried to wipe the windshield with window cleaner and the spots would not come out. I took a vinegar and water mix to a soft towel in attempt to remove them and the stains remained intact. On Tuesday 11/8/22 it rained. The spots were still there. On Friday 11/11/22, I washed/dried the car myself to get a better look $10.. As I dried the vehicle I noticed the water spots on the windshield were still there and actually everywhere on my car.! The windshield, the sunroof, the hood, the doors. It was honestly horrifying. The following week, I had a mobile detailer look at my car. He said it looked as if someone put something on it they weren’t supposed to. He washed the vehicle again $40, but no change. He said I would need a costly polish. On 11/18/22, I returned to five points and spoke to the “manager”. Explained to him the issue. He looked at the visible damage & said the car was probably so dirty before I didn’t notice it. He also said he got those spots before and they come out with remover. Also that people always try to blame the carwash. I asked him how he could fix it. He said a water remover and polish for $129, if it didn’t come out he would not charge. I was hesitant to trust the place but worried about my car and agreed. He then said he would try a section first and see what I thought. It didn’t work on the small section they tried. I asked for my key and the manager had already walked away before that. On 11/26, I got a second opinion from mobile detailer who agreed the car needs to be buffed and polished. He said it was one if the worst cases he had seen. He washed and used a soft polish pad, that didn’t work. We need to use a more abrasive pad ti get the stains out hopefully. One wash on my brand new car at this place and so much damage.
