I had a crown done at this dentist. Within 6 months it had to be redone because it got decay under it. They have a terrible reputation here in Santa Barbara. I knew it wasn’t going to go well but but tired anyway hundreds of dollars later, my new dentist took photos for me if I decided to go to small clams court to get my money back. I believe I spent nearly $1,000. If not more . Find somewhere else to go check reviews and do your homework!!Good luck with this outfit!!

I had a dental procedure at Zak Dental in Ventura. During the crown preparation appointment, J***** utilized a previously used cotton roll for me to bite on in order to affix the temporary crown. It gushed out my old saliva from the procedure. The temporary crown detached within half an hour, exhibiting jagged and rough edges. Upon revisiting, Ariel skillfully addressed the issue and ensured a proper bite alignment. On the day of the crown placement, Dr. C****** ***** refrained from using Local Anesthesia during the insertion, removal, and cementing processes, causing excruciating pain. Subsequent days with escalating severe pain in both my upper and lower jaw prompting me to schedule a follow-up appointment. A week later at the appointment Dr. C**** dismissed concerns about the crown, stating it wasn’t even touching, and suggesting the possibility of a root canal & referral to their endodontist. Despite me highlighting bite issues and the crown's shortened dimensions, my concerns were unaddressed, with Dr C**** leaving the room. Images and X-rays taken immediately after by office staff revealed the misaligned bite and a smaller crown, evident to the technician & staff. Vivian, the office manager, assured me she would send the x-rays and images to their head dentist for review. Following this, she called to convey the recommendation that I consult their endodontist. I chose to request a referral to an external endodontist, suspecting potential deception for financial gain. Next-day appointment, the endodontist noted the new crown's inadequate height. He explained inability to extend it, opting to trim the front crown, bringing immediate pain reduction. He said the pain should subside within a few weeks. A $250 copay, an expense stemming from Zak Dental's improper crown sizing. Despite efforts to communicate with Dr. K****, who readily discussed a treatment plan previously, there has been no resolution. Attempts to engage with Zak Dental have proven challenging.

It seems that no one in the office knows what they are doing nor are on the same page. I have never in my life seen a bug corporation ran this way. So unprofessional and unorganized.
