The worst establishment. Terrible rooms and service. No air conditioner. Do not go here.

I have been staying at The aspires Inn and Suites in Ventura owned by T** and D**** ****.. the owners representatives and agents have expressed that the owner says they do not care about ADA laws rules and regulations, and given the fact that I am disabled, they do not care. They still want the $25 a night pet fee, even though I don’t have a pet I have a therapy service animal in order for me to be able to take care of my daily needs as a human being with the disabilities that I have. I don’t understand how the property is still able to operate due to the many violations and hazards exposed to us unfortunate, older, disabled individuals, who can only afford these accommodations, for example, unsanitary conditions, hot water to the point where temperature is not controlled by the boiler, and my hand was burned tonight and last night. Many rodents as in rats running around where my service animal and myself were put in the situation where I was unsafe. I called upon Ventura city inspectors please assist us who are seeking accommodations and being offered accommodations to only be denied all right or rights as human beings and citizens of the state of California..

Obvious drug activity at the property and associated blood (and hair) in bathroom. I made my reservation just an hour prior and upon complaining about the hotel and room I was told no refunds and I also owed a cleaning fee (I simply walked into the room and went back to front desk). I called the owner and she set me up with another property after a very long discussion. That property review, Chantico Inn in Ojai showed bedbugs and very bad reviews except for the paid reviews and I asked if she had more properties instead. She refused to rectify so I'm out ~$300 because I did not want to risk getting bed bugs. Given the state of the 2 properties, apparently she is a slumlord and refuses refunds.

We had to wait 20+ minutes for someone to show up to check in. Once we were checked into our "suite", we walked into the smell of body odor and smoke. The table had dirt piled on it, the tub had reddish liquid stains, the toilet paper was empty, stains were on the wall, a shoe string was tied on as the pull for the fan. I went down to ask for wipes and air freshener but before I could ask the attendant asked "what's wrong?" He already knew the dumpster he put us in. When cleaning ourselves felt hopeless I went back and he offered to switch rooms admitting he knew how bad the room was. He showed us a new room which smelled better but has was equally as disastrous. Not to mention the new room was right next to some permanent residents that I have already seen mentioned in another review who were recently arrested at the location for drugs. The people living there are very obviously conducting illegal activities- drugs and prostitution. After deciding we could not stay there, we were offered a room at other locations that had equally bad reviews. We declined and instead had our day ruined. We were told no refund. I feel really bad for the kid that works there. I hope he escapes working at a slum hotel like that one.
