I took my car to get the freon refilled for the A/C to work they charged me $342.27 when I picked up the car they said the freon didn’t take and my car was showing a code when ran thru the computer and asked for about $750 to run a diagnostic test on my car only to diagnostic not to fix it to fix it, it would be extra so I took my car to a reputable place who ran a complete diagnostic test on my car for free and there was no such code they checked the entire A/C system there were no leaks no malfunction it was just empty they refilled the freon for only $150 now my A/C is working perfectly Unique auto care did absolutely NOTHING but robbed meBusiness response

HELLO!.RESPONDING TO THIS COMPLAINT, THE CUSTOMER, ****** ****. ON 5-30-23 CUSTOMER CAME TO OUR REPAIR SHOP AND REQUESTING AN AC REFILL. HE STATES HE PUT A NEW ENGINE AND A NEW COMPRESSOR, WE ADVISED HIM NOT TO DO THIS AND TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSE TIME OF WRITE UP , WE ATTEMPETED TO TELL HIM THERE IS NO WARRANTY OR RETURNS ON FREEON, WE HAVE A WRITTEN REPAIR ORDER WICH HE SIGNED, AND ALSO A SCAN REPORT WITH CUSTOMER VEHICLE AND VIN NUMBER WITH TIME AND DATE. HE STATED THAT IF IT DIN'T WORK IT WOULD BE HIS OWN FAULT WICH ALSO STATES IN OUR REPAIR ORDER . THE CUSTOMER IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH HERE YOU WILL FIND PROOF OF THE CODES WHEN THE AC WAS NOT WORKING, WE TAKE SCANS OF VEHICLES BECUSE CUSTOMER LIKE THIS, HE IS A SELF MADE MECHANIC AND HE NOW SEES THAT HE WAS WRONG ON THIS DIAGNOSIS AS WELL WE HE TOLD OUR SERVICE ADVISOR HE WILL COME BACK IN THE MORNING WE GAVE HIM A WORSE TYPE SENERIO NOT A 700 WRITTEN ESTIMATE SO HE IS NOT CORRECT TO SAY THAT WE CHARGED HIM 700 TO DIAGNOSE NO WRITEN ESTIMATE WAS DONE AS YOU CAN READ OUR WORK ORDER AND LOOK AT THE TIME STAMPED CODE SCAN WE NEVER DIGNOSED THIS VEHICLE HE DINT WANT TO PAY ALSO IN TECHNICAL THE AC COMPRESSOR WAS NOT ENGAUGING WE ADDED R134 TO SYATEM LIKE HE WANTED NOW HE IS RESPONSIBLE AND JUST DOSEN'T WANT TO PAY ,Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Yes I signed said document not knowing this unscrupulous, unethical, dishonest individuals weren't gonna do anything to my vehicle, and of course there isn't anything in writing of them asking me for nearly $750.00 for ONLY a diagnostic on my car specially when they said that the hybrid batteries might have to be replaced, it doesn't take a mechanic or a brain surgeon to figure out that the hybrid batteries have absolutely NOTHING to do with the A/C system because that's when the red flags arose and I made up my mind to take to an honest mechanic who again charged me absolutely nothing for running the diagnostic and finding no such code as again the car had a brand new engine and compressor, checked the entire A/C system for free, found nothing wrong with it, no leaks, no malfunction just that it was empty as the their receipt which I'm attaching shows and only charging me $150.00 not $342.27 to refill the Freon on my car which by the way is working like it was when I bought the car from the original dealership and to add insult to injury this so called mechanic shop for a lack of better words were NOT EVEN LICENCED at the time of this incident

Hello! like we have stated In our signed repair order , We are a stable business that we could have resolve this matter with a simple courtesy phone call we are talking about he said , We said, the problem is that he doesn't want to pay for our services, and continue to lie about our business, We don't have the time to do what he is doing just let it be known we are a ac license repair shop (******* since 2/14/2018) some people just want to get over , we would never say the hybrid battery has anything to do with his A/C we have provided to you a scan report with his VIN number stamped date and time, but it is not resolving nothing, This kind of person probably. goes around, scamming people, may his $350.00 dollars he got back from us last him a long time, and hopefully he won't do this again to a hard-working business. There is no need to post and with so many lies. we strive to do good for our customers but unfortunately there are persons like this, have a Good Day and Thank you for your greatly help.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: In response to that poor excuse of a mechanic and man, of course I don't want to pay because you did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but hold my car for a few hours, now Ms. ******* ****** from the Better Business Bureau don't take my word for it please call Officer ** ******** from City of Victorville Code Compliance Department at ************ and just ask him if Unique Auto Care had a valid business license on 5-30-23, they didn't have a business license since 2018!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When that other poor excuse of a mechanic and a man by the name of ****** said "WE ALL JUST TOOK A COURSE ON HYBRID CARS AND THE PROBLEM ON YOUR CAR COULD BE THE HYBRID BATTERIES" ****** was there standing behind him and stood completely quiet condoning his employee's unethical, dishonest, lying to me behavior, also Ms. ******* ****** I give you and the Better Business Bureau full permission to tell this piece of work of a person if I've ever done this before, I'll save you a little bit of time NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as I've never been tried to made a fool and have my money blatantly stolen, and a scanned report with the vin # and date stamped can be easily manipulated which I'm 100% sure they did as when I took my car to an honest reputable shop there was no such code and their receipt shows it now this again poor excuse of a man said I got my money back and wait this will be a surprise that hasn't happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the record I can afford to give my 3 very expensive dogs that amount on their daily breakfast is not about the money which by the way isn't $350.00 is $342.27. Is the principal of it. This place should be shut down. Lastly I'm attaching 3 incidents of this so call mechanic shop ripping people off, so what's the excuse now they're lying too??? It is clear and obvious who's lying here. And in case this poor excuses of mechanics and men get any funny ideas since they have my address, my house is equipped with a state of the art very sophisticated alarm system with many outside and indoor cameras
