      On Monday January 16th 2023 at approximately 10am I was down at the office of the Mariposa Inn in attempt to check out of the room i stayed in for 2 nights prior. As I was attempting to check out and collect my deposit collected from the office at check in two days ago. A stalker/ weirdo that I had checked in with enters the office there was a brief argument between us. At which point he hits me in my mouth. He claims to the lady at the front desk that tve deposit it his which it is not. Because clearly the name on the room was mine I checked in with my money yet she gives my deposit to the guy who had just not only struck me in the face but was very violent and aggressive. My main concern here is i want my money that the lady at the front desk had given to someone else. When i am the person who has checked into i should be r The only person receiving my deposit back not some straggler that just walks in and says the deposit belongs to them. I would in fact think that a business as such would hold a much higher regard to the safety and security of their guests instead they allowed a man to not only become physically aggressive towards a women and never even thought to contact the police or nothing. My ability to get the womens name was limited when my whole objective was to get away before he again became aggressive again this time i may not be so lucky as to get away with only a busted lip. So i walked away with a busted mouth and without my owed to me deposit all due to the unprofessionalism conducted by this company. I feel as though i should be compensated for not only their inability to provide any type if security to its guest but also so carelessly giving my money to someone that it doesn't belong to. I want my deposit with any compensation.

      ***** **** check in room but didn’t have I’d so Lakeland Sessions use her I’d but ***** paid for the room so that why he got the deposit back both were in the office not fighting until they were outside I heard them over drugs

       I am rejecting this response because:

      That picture say nothing besides proof of my stay. On top of that 160 payment they as well charged me a 50 deposit I would get back upon check out. Which is clearly not documented in the computer. But I never received back. Im usure what type of unprofessional business or scam they are running but I have hear from several different people that the place will keep your deposit for no reason at all. I dont know why they took a picture of that I paid $216 cash money for my stay for 2 nights and if they run back the camera footage you will see me not only being what I feel as over charged for a room that tile was torn up off the floor of the room and bathroom tub was clogged anyways. Another reason I am requesting a full refund as well as my deposit.  The quality of the room was almost as if it was under unfinished construction.  Nothing worth the amount I was charged they came for the towels on the first day and I never received my clean towels. It was horrible but the only thing available for the amount of money I had to spend. I would've preferred honestly to stay in my car but they assured me there was no refund  when i tried to only make it a one night thing. So why the deposit isn't documented leads me to believe that the women who checked me in was trying to infact come up on my deposit and never had any intention on refunding my deposit but upon check in I paid a total of $216
      Obviously this Hotel as well as its employees are trying to run a scam at the expense  of the people that choose to stay there. I will not accept anything other then a full refund. If you would like to put it on the card on file or pay me cash money like I paid either way but those were mot only unlivable conditions it was highway robbery at that price.
      Period and I believe they know it to and should honestly be shut down until the rooms are brought up to livable standards.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      I never received my deposit back. Whoever was working that day decided she would instead give my deposit to the guy that checked in with me. When i think the fact that the room was in my name. Period is breaking some type of terms conditions or stipulations that all motel based businesses have. Meaning it doesnt matter if the lady working behind the desk. Thought that the other person paid should only the person who ID is presented upon check in be the only one allowed to come get the key incase its misplaced as well as any deals with deposits owed back upon check out. Not for the clerk to decide because he paid for the room which he did not should get the deposit. I did not receive my deposit it was given to someone else i never received my deposit. I am not going to accept anything less then what i paid your desk clerk put my life in danger by giving someone whos name was never on the room not onlu come get a key but also teleased mu deposit to him as well. Because she thought he paid for the room. Unacceptable and definately not with the saftey or security of guests at hand thats for  sure. I will accept nothing less then $215 or full refund including deposit.  I should be shooting for more because of your lies even in the first message you stated you returned the deposit to the guy because thats who paid. Now what witnesses when you already told on yourself.

      I was receiving homeless assistance from the state. I got a room at the motel. I got extremely ill,I found out it was due to the conditions of the room. Dr said change rooms. Motel denied my request. Then even though I'd paid my room until 11am on Dec 31,2022. Staff started illegally entering my room at 530am-6am. I'm ill, afraid for myself and my 16yr old daughter. There prevalent illegal activities going on here from customers and staff. Please help.

      I move her to a different room but she never move she stay in the same rooms on 12-21-2022 I put her in 318 and still there it a small room one bed and it 4 people and two big dogs so that why the room is mess up because of the dogs

      I came to this motel on Friday the 5th of November because I was told my ex husband was in the hospital being treated for an infection in his foot from diabetes while in the hospital he contracted covid so nobody was allowed to visit him. But I wanted to be somewhere close to the hospital so I checked into the Mariposa Inn. Upon checking in I told the night person about my ex husband I also told her that I have been tested for covid with a negative results does she need my doctor's results she said no. When I got there I noticed the grounds are not kept up multiple families live in there that look on the lower side of finances. I ended up staying until Monday morning the 8th not one time did they come to ask if I needed new towels clean my room nothing in fact there was no trash can in the room when asked for one they had none. There were cockroaches everywhere it was disgusting. I have 2 service dogs and they knew this I showed them their ID cards upon checking in also. They told me they hold a $50 deposit but upon check out it is fully refunded. They did not fully refund me they only refunded me half. Now on the day of check out the manager Liz came pounding like the cops on my door informing me she got a complaint of my dog barking, why now when I'm leaving? Anyway I informed her well if you would get a handle on your other guest not to run up and down the hall screaming past my door the dog wouldn't bark. When they hear commotion and can't see what it actually is it's called protection. Plus I told her I was leaving and checking out that day anyway. She proceeds to tell me check out is at 11 rudely and I told her thank you. She only refunded me half of my deposit. I called and spoke to *** the mgr and she said because they had to do an extra cleaning because of covid when I clearly told them I had tested negative and would they like my results. I want the other half of deposit. In fact I would like a full refund of my entire stay the health dept should condemn.

      August 26 2021 We paid for 3 nights $303.59 total and within 2 hours we asked for a refund. They charged us for a night stay $84.53. The room they rented had cockroaches everywhere, the toilet and sink was leaking, and there were active drug deals. We want that $84.53 because we didn't even stay in the room and they shouldn't have even rented the room out.
