The Mariposa Inn is the worst place to stay if you are visiting in the area. I was a recent victim of a rent scam, so I have been in and out of hotels and inns since February of this year. Last Week I stayed there for two days and it is the worst, filthiest, cock roach infested place you could imagine. There were no towels and the lady at the front window told me you have to provide your own towels. I had been in the car for two days, so I need to take a shower. There was no running water in the bathtub, which was so filthy, I was afraid to step my foot in there. There were a lot of families in the back where I was assigned a room. There were families there who obviously lived there and each family had a minimum of five children in one room. The kids were playing in the parking lot, they were noisy and unruly. I was sitting in my car ready to go someplace and the ball hit my windshield very hard twice. The second time I was angry so I got out of my car and told them to stop it before they break my windshield. So much noise and filth. I nor my dog got any rest. Me, because I was afraid something would crawl on me. When I went up to the front to tell her the water was not working in the bathtub, she greeted me by saying "What do you want now"". When I told her about the lack of water in the bathtub, she told me to push the knob real hard. I asked her why, if you k now it is not working, don't you fix it The families each had a large trashcan outside their door, and the smell was awful. And they have the nerve to have a sign on the office door that reads, If you do not check out by 11:30 you will not receive your deposit back. This place needs to be torn down. The outside of the place that is on Mariposa looks just fine. But the place in the back, is awful. I believe there are a lot of families who stay there on a Voucher from he County. I was so upset with them I just wanted to cry. My situation gets to me at times, but never like those two days. I do not know what can be done but, something needs to be done. On top of everything wrong with this filthy, dirty place, The staff are unapproachable rude, and non accommodating. So I could not take a shower for the two days I was there. I went to brush my teeth and I could see roaches coming from everywhere. The room looks like it has never been clean, filth on the baseboards floors, bathtub and just God awful. I booked this place with Priceline, I could not believe they suggested this place, also, why would they put me in the back if I was full paying customer, and single occupant. How dare they. If there is anyway I can be reimbursed for the two days, I would like to have my money back. I contacted Priceline and to no avail. But now all the hotels area are catering to the people who get free rooms from the county. In that case, they do not care how they are kept. They did not come and clean either day I was there. Its is just filthy, nasty with bugs crawling in the bed, in the bathroom and coming out of the television. But it seems ok to them. Even if the people are there on vouchers, they should care. There is no way they are going to get all roaches out unless they just tear down the building because they are in the foundation of the building. So Im out of my money, with no sleep, and no shower.

This is most certainly true. I would not just make up stories. I was miserable for those two days, and to have rude staff to boot. The roaches are terrible. One lady moved into the room next to me the first day I was there. Later on I saw her move out. I asked her what was the matter, and she said My room has roaches all over and she was moved to another room. I thought if there are roaches in one room they are all over. This is disgusting and unhealthy.
