After meeting the owner, Emory Honeycutt, we joined Family First Life insurance brokerage a couple yrs. ago. No contract is signed as they state your business is 100% yours. Six months after my husband suffered a stroke, our upline, with Honeycutt's approval, took our income from our team we built WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT-gave our top agents unearned raises when we already gave them one or had them as high commission we could & still have them direct to us, then transferred thousands of dollars of debt from another agency to our direct downline, moved agents out of our direct downline, removed our top agent’s production from our Sales reports, & some agents informed us they were told by our upline we don’t care about them & are not here for them (stopped reaching out to us). When my husband was able to consistently write again & even made leaderboards they terminated our insurance carrier contracts without cause or put us as earned. All this destroyed our production & override commissions. He accused us of cross recruiting when we added a product FFL didn't have, yet he had put in writing that we can work this company alongside another. We appealed to FFL-they ignored us. Insurance companies say we have to go to FFL. Agents with teams are entitled to receive overrides, regardless of whether they are personally producing or not. Honeycutt said we weren’t working enough so they could do whatever they wanted with our team. The goal many FFL agents have is to be bought out by Integrity Marketing when their agency gets large enough. In our opinion, the above activities would all contribute to our upline's agency as they’ve expressed often they want a buyout. Honeycutt stacked agents on their team from other agencies. FFL told us we couldn't discuss this, calling it defamation, but we only stated facts with them & insurance companies to get help for what was happening and to make it stop. We have been in this industry 8 yrs & never encountered anything like this.
