    I ate at this original Roadhouse Grill on Wednesday March 31 at 4pm. I was by myself but also ordered food to go to take home to my family the total was 68.14 including a tip. I paid via debit card on the machine at the table. The transaction was complete and the receipt printed. The server came to the table and said the transaction did not go through on their end and I needed to do it again. I said I had a receipt and she took it to her manager she returned to the table and said the payment was canceled by her manager because of an issue on their end and she took my card and ran it again. I checked my banking app and see that I was charged twice which I told the server. She said don’t worry her manager deleted one and it would show within 24 hours. The server was nice and sometimes things happen so I thought it was ok. I waited four days and both transactions were no longer pending but were paid. I called my bank they could not see any refund or cancellation pending and I had to dispute the payment. I then called the restaurant I explained and asked to speak to the manager and was placed on hold until it hung up. I tried to email using the info on the web site but the email was returned. I tried to send a message by text also nothing. I am an older person I was eating alone and I feel like this may be an ongoing issue. The server was very nice but when I informed her my bank showed I was charged twice. She did not have the manager come talk to me or give back my original receipt. I have tried calling I spoke to two different hostess and was put on hold until I became frustrated. I feel that this could be a scam.
