I paid my $50 copay in cash the first visit with ************************************************, PHD. I paid her DIRECTLY as her front desk person left early that day. At the next visit she told me I owed her $100 that day ($50 for the 1st visit and $50 for that day) I told her that I paid her cash the first visit and she was pretty rude but said she would "take my word for it". After that 2nd appointment I never went back as she was very unprofessional. Then I began getting phone calls from HER (not her billing staff) asking for the $50 again. I spoke to her on the phone and told her that we had ALREADY had a conversation about this and she acted rude but said (again) that she will take my word for it. Since then I have gotten more phone calls (I had to change my number because of this) AND bills in the mail. At this point, it is the principal of it all. It has been almost 2 years since I have been there and she is still harassing me over this $50 that I already paid!!! She is very, very rude and unprofessional.Business response

Our office, Human Resource Associates is a professional setting that provides mental health services to treat various psychological disorders. All individuals are treated with professionalism, dignity and respect. We provide services to individuals from diverse ethnic, socio-cultural backgrounds and lifestyles. Our office accommodates those in need and often we provide pro **** services.
Regarding payments at the time of the consultation, it is requested patients pay their copays (their portion of the fee). A written receipt is provided once payment is made. After hours the receipts are provided by the practitioner since the office staff is not available. This is a consistent procedure in our office and any exceptions are approved by the practitioner.
I regret that ************** perceives that she was treated in an unprofessional manner. As stated professionalism, dignity and respect are important and essential values in our office. The written complaint provided by ************** is not accurate however I will comply with the request "no further contact by the business." She can be assured no further communication from our office and the requested resolution is accepted.
