      My daughter was on the dance team and I tried to communicate conflicts with the owner and her unprofessional behavior. I do not feel that company is a safe place for my 8 year old daughter so I pulled her from her classes and asked for a refund for the upcoming competitions and the July recital fee I had paid for. Her response was to “ read my contract” my daughter is experiencing mental health issues due to the high demands of peer pressure. This company should be inspected by the state of California and shut down. The owner allows parents and teachers to inflict negative comments which only hurt their students. Because she isn’t returning she is refusing to give my refund I which due to mental health problems I believe I am entitled too. It’s on the contract that if my daughter has serious health problems I should get a refund and that future payments are stopped immediately.

      To Whom It May Concern,

      I am responding to complaint 166**956. Ms. ******* contacted me by text message on Friday, January 28th at 12:18pm asking how she could apply for a scholarship for her daughter, that she was in the middle of a divorce and her husband wasn't helping her pay for her daughter's dance expenses.  I responded that we could email her an application to complete and pass it over to the Boosters who handle scholarships, Ms. ******* thank me.  

      About 2 hours later I received another text (see in attachment) that she talked to her therapist to ensure she wasn't overacting and that we have favorites at the studio and that the environment is toxic and people can't mind her their business.  She demanded her money back for competition fees, was not sending her daughter back and if she didn't need the money due financial reasons she wouldn't ask. (text messages attached).  

      I was blindsided and had no idea where all of this was coming from, I sent replied to her message (see attached) if something had happened that I wasn't aware of to please let me know (see attachment).  Ms. ******* then proceeded to say that my husband, my daughter who is a teacher, and myself were talking about her to others at competition last weekend about her smelling like weed.  I responded back stating that I had no idea what she was talking about, and I still don't because none of this happened.  I advised her that there are no refunds and to check her contract and that she is actually responsible until the end of the contract unless a doctor note stating that her daughter "severely injured, has an illness or she moves 50 miles away (attached contract).  She proceeds to text calling me a liar and saying I haven't paid for competition fess, but I have as they are paid up to 90 days in advance (I can provide proof).  I asked her to meet so we could all sit down and discuss her complaint face to face with all parties she was accusing plus a support person of her choice.  She stated she couldn't meet until 6:30pm because the person she wanted to bring was not available until later I asked her to bring someone else as we weren't available later.  She again started calling me a liar and by this time I was over her irrational text messages and threats of suing me and other things and asked her not to contact me.

      I want to add that not at any one time since registering her daughter on April 7, 2021, has Ms. ******* reached out to me about her daughter feeling peer pressure or negative comments Ms. ******* states teachers have made to her daughter.  This is also the first time I am hearing her daughter has mental health issues or needs any special accommodations. When a student register at our studio there is a spot for parents to let us know.   Ms. ******* recently made me aware that she has, PTSD and since I was made aware I have been sensitive to her inability to be in groups of people and told her to just let me know if she needs someone to assist her daughter backstage at competitions or recitals (I have text of this conversation too).    

      Once a doctor's note is received, she will not be responsible for any additional payments going forward, as of today we have not received a doctor's note.   As far as a refund the contracts she signed addresses this.    I have attached the team contract, and recital contract that she signed, and both are very clear on NO REFUNDS.    

      I have additional text messages from her I can provide but I was only allowed to attach 10 attachments, I would be happy to send more if you felt this would help give more clarification on this case.

      I think Ms. ******* is under a large amount of stress in her life right now and maybe she didn't realize what having her daughter on a competition team might in tale (as this is her first year) and with her own mental health issues isn't able to handle the stress.

      As I told Ms. ******* we wish her daughter the best and hope they can find a studio where they both feel comfortable.

      I would be happy to discuss this matter further or provide any additional documentation that may be needed.

      To Whom It May Concern,

      Attached is the proof of payments for the competition Ms. ******* is requesting refund as well as the No refund policies for each of the competitions.

      We did receive a doctor's not for her daughter. As outlined in the dance team contract no additional charges will be billed to Ms. ******* effective as of January 31, 2022.

      Lastly, we kindly ask that Ms. ******* cease and deceases the online defamation of character and badgering and belittling EDA staff by using her friends and family to post negative google reviews in regard to a situation that they are not involved in.

       I am rejecting this response because:


      These are NOT receipts they are generated off excel or word spreadsheets from her computer. This is Fraud, providing false receipts. They all look exactly the same, you can't pretend that each company is going to have the exact same outline with black and white logos. The middle one has a fake date of Jan 27th, 
      Yea I don't think so. I created Command Memos for the Army I know how this works. NOT real receipts. Where is the actual receipts and for the JUNE recital costume that I paid 65$ for? 
       
      I want my FULL REFUND. I am exhausted dealing with you and your company. And no one is badgering or defaming you or your company. You have provided nothing but excuses because you don't want to refund me for the money I paid for my daughter to dance. 

      My daughters Doctors note clearly states that she has been dealing with serious mental health problems. Such as NIGHTMARES and ANXIETY since she has started dancing with this company. I have taken her to the doctors to get treatment and the note explains this. 

      Why is it so hard to do the right thing Devon? You couldn't bully me like you do your other parents, so you're lying and providing false receipts to cover your tracks. Provide actual bank statements with actual transactions of you paying for these competitions in -"December". My daughter will not be performing in any competitions or the recital, you need to refund me for the money I paid you. You have a no refund policy because you have learned to screw over parents who no longer wish to work with you or your company, because of the toxic environment. You are a true scam artist, and you should be ashamed.
