Spoke to the merchant on 12/13/2023 notifying them I would no longer need their service due to getting another gym membership elsewhere on 11/30/2023. The merchant claimed I was under a three month contract I was never given to physically or digitally and they wanted me to pay a cancellation fee. At the time of the initial payment nothing about a contract was disclosed and I was under the impression it was on a month to month basis. Charge was disputed to my credit card company and payment was initially returned. The merchant then claimed to my credit card company that the charge was valid and I was under a contract and they got the payment back for the ******. Initial credit card was closed due to dispute on charges since I was no longer going to do business with them. The following month on 1/4/2024 the merchant retrieved my new card information from Mastercard in order to process a payment once again but then was returned back later in the morning. I just wish to be refunded for the month of 12/4/2023 since I never signed up for a membership.Business response

Its already been resolved. She had a miss understanding with the contract of her payment schedule and cancellation fee, but I spoke with ***** shes been taken care of. Thanks for reaching out. Have a great weekend.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: at the time of the call regarding cancellation is when the merchant mentioned i was on a contract which was not in writing. The merchant mentioned a cancellation fee of 50 dollars which I agreed upon however he kept the full payment of 179 instead. Upon letting the merchant know i would be cancelling the merchant wanted me to download his personal app for training which wouldve been ***** a month. I told the merchant I would look into it but was not committed, after the conversation ended i never looked into his app nor wanted to pursue any further business.
