I was laid off just before completing a $52.000 job so they didnt have to pay me commission. They then made no attempt to contact the job to complete it so the job contacted me and asked me to complete the job that hometown abandoned. They gave me absolutely no reason for the laid off .And I couldnt cash the final check they gave me. Then they call over two weeks later to try and collect payment. The school in question has not paid anyone because hometown says everything is theres.Business response

We were notified by **** of possible leak(s) due to high usage. The spinning of the main meter confirmed it. We found Hometown Plumbing on the Internet, called and told them that we just moved to this house and had no clue where everything was (valves, irrigation system, and so on) but we were looking for a company who could help us locating/fixing the problem. They replied that they absolutely could.Guy with sonar equipment came and charged $ ******. The following day, 2 guys came and after 2 hours they said that they located the leak on an irrigation pipe and fixed it. Additional charge was $ ******** !!Problem: the meter was still spinning !! Asked to show us what they have done and they apologized saying that they "forgot" to take a picture. They added that we obviously had a second leak and if we wanted them to take care of it, they would charge us again the same money we already paid. I was upset because my briefing to the Company was never about 1 or 2 leaks, it was about the leaking problem as a whole and for the money charged and the time of their work we thought that it was fair for us to expect the problem to be fixed. Their answer was rude and they left, gladly taking our check but without even giving us an invoice. We wrote 2 mails to the administration office, but we never got a reply. Wonder if this is normal in *******************. If not, as we think, we would expect some money back or at least we would like to make other people aware so that they know what to expect when hiring this company. Thank you.
