    I was scheduled to have a bridal appointment with Flares Bridal at 11 am on Sunday, Jan 16. On the evening of Jan 15, I learned that I had been exposed to COVID 19. I wrote Flares Bridal right away to notify them that I had been exposed and did not want to come in to protect the health and safety of other customers and Flares employees. Flares Bridal responded saying that if I did not come in I would be charged a $200 no-show fee. They said the only reason they would waive this fee was if I produced a positive test result later today. I explained that due to the limited availability of tests, I would not be able to obtain a test before my appointment, and if I got a positive result after coming in, the damage would already have been done. However, they refused to reschedule my appointment or spare me the no-show fee. I would like a refund of the no-show fee that I have been charged; I do not believe it is fair for me to be penalized for taking steps to protect the health and safety of others during a global pandemic. For your reference, I have attached screenshots of my text messages this morning with the business owner.
