            I have been using Leon Accounting and Tax Services for the past 3-4 years. This year, I contacted ****** (owner) to file my taxes in February 2022. He told me what was needed but, I wasn’t able to complete before the April 2022 deadline. On 04/18/2022, he told me he filed the extension. I submitted necessary information to him and paid him $140 to file my taxes on 09/15/2022. He has not returned my calls and I never received proof that my taxes were filed. As of 10/13/2022, I’ve tried calling him and texting him with no response.

            Really frustrated with the communication /professionalism skills Manuel (owner) had through my process. Called him multiple times, left voicemails also texted him multiples time to get updates on my amended taxes that he was working on since before April. After no replies or call backs, I called the IRS and they said no amendment was filed so I went to another tax preparer just in case and they also confirmed that Manuel failed to file my amendment and nothing was ever done. I have been trying to resolve this issue since 2019 and I’m really disappointed that I trusted him to resolve it and I should’ve acted sooner but I was trying to be understanding and let him handle it. After multiple failed communication attempts I went to his office (left a message since he was out of office) and followed up with text requesting my 2018 amendment copies and a refund. Finally after weeks of no communication he replies with the information I wanted to get before this escalated as well as my refund, but I feel like everything would’ve been resolved if he would’ve handle things differently. His lack of not providing any updates and ignoring calls/texts for weeks is so unprofessional. Will not be recommending him or his business to anyone in the future if anything it’ll be the opposite.
