My complaint is about a company named Papaya Privacy Protection. While paying a medical bill online through ePayItOnline.com. After I submitted the bill and the credit card information to complete the transaction. I needed to click through a couple of times to confirm the payment. After thinking, I was done, one more pop-up appeared on the screen with the word confirm. I clicked it thinking it was the last step to confirm the payment. One more pop-up appeared welcoming me to a Papaya free trial subscription, and that $1 was going to be charged to my credit card. I immediately checked my credit card account and a transaction for $1 was processed by PAPAYA PRIVACY WEST HOLLYWOOCAUS for a subscription service with a Papaya company. I NEVER Pprovided Papaya my information. My information was only submitted to ePayItOnline. I should not have been charged any money because I never requested a subscription to PAPAYA company and I never provided my credit card information to this company. I also received an email confirming my subscription and informing me that my credit card will be charged $36 monthly. I contacted the phone number included in the email *************. I asked the agent why there was a charge to my credit card from this company if I had never provided or authorized charges or subscriptions. I did not receive any explanation. I reported this immediately to my bank. I will be contacting Zwanger tomorrow

This complaint is with a company called Papaya. I was paying a medical bill online through ePayItOnline.com I had finished entering my details and ending the transaction. I had to click through a couple of times to confirm the payment. Then I thought I was done, one more pop-up jumped up on the screen. I clicked it because I thought it was the final step in the payment process, and I was immediately charged $36 and possibly signed up for a subscription service with a Papaya company. I did not give Papaya my information. I gave it to ePayItOnline. I should not have been charged for some subscription to A DIFFERENT company in one click. I think this company is fraudulent. I have reported this to my bank. I will be calling ePayItOnline tomorrow during normal business hours.

I received an invoice form ************** and the invoice recommends paying online. I clicked pay my bill and was offered an option to take a photo of my bill to pay similar to how you scan a QR code for other bills. This then took me to Papaya where I paid the bill not realizing it was a third party. After the confirmation was received it gave the option to continue with very small font stating that it will auto enroll me in a $36.99/mo service. This is a scam. In order to not enroll you have to x out of this field and not press the very large continue button. Very misleading because you expect to just pay your bill and be done with it. Extremely misleading and fraudulent business behavior.

4-17-24 I paid Radiology and Nuclear Medicine through the online site on the bill: www.ePayitOnline.com in the amount of $7.73. I confirmed the payment, and somehow I was linked to a Paypaya payment place without knowing and they debited $36.00 which I did not knowingly approve. How can I get this removed from my bank account without having to deactivate my account at my bank, ********************* and get removed from this Papaya payment place? This is fraudulent secretive charge that I was know in agreement to? I was only trying to pay my copay of $7.73. I tried to call Radiology and nuclear medicine billing number listed on the bill and they hung up on me.

This company has one of the worst application for payments imaginable. It requires taking a photo of your bill and gives no confirmation of the bill statement. Once I found a path to pay that I could verify the account for submitting payment, I proceeded paying $525.00 for the outstanding bill. I received three email confirmations of it being received and delivered on the same day and a text message from my bank confirming I paid through Papaya and ******************* appeared on my account. The following Tuesday, 03/05/2024, I received a text message stating my payment was late. I called the hospital, got the billing department who gave me a number of a different collector. That collector told me that they weren't handling my bill - gave me another number. I was finally in contact with ******************* directly on my third call stating that they had not received payment and asking for proof. I sent proof and heard nothing back. On 03/09/2024, one week later from the payment, I receive another "your payment is overdue" notice from Papaya. I have reached out to Papaya to not receive any responses or assistance. The payment clearly has not been reported to the billing company although it appears it was applied directly to them from my bank statement. I go to review if this is a known problem with Papaya. Lo' and behold, the BBB has several examples of this already. Why is Papaya allowed to continue to take patient's funds and not properly update their own records? Absolutely ridiculous.
