On jan 20th 2022 my daughter was chosen to move on to the next round with NYLA talent. We were told we had to pay 950 by that night in order for her to move forward. We paid it. she did her 3 classes with coaches after that they asked for a video recording and headshots. We sent all the requested documents. We did not hear anything back for months. I reached out on 03/22/22. I received a auto message " I will be out of the office traveling on Tuesday, March *****. If you have an urgent matter please reach out to me directly by calling ************** and I will return your call as soon as possible. Otherwise please leave me a message and I will reply when I return." I received another message on 4/17/22 Hello, Please take note that there will be no scheduled events this upcoming weekend of April *****, 2022. NYLA Talent, our team members, and our coaches will be observing the Holiday beginning Saturday, April 16th-17th. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, April 18, 2022. We hope you take this time to practice your monologue, commercials, and scenes, work on your resume and scheduling your photographers. I never heard anything else from these people. They just took my money and nothing came of it. She was supposed to be able to audition for tv shows and everything. I would really like to have my money back. We are left at a dead in with nothing.Business response

Please see the following documentation regarding this complaint, we did provide them with all the services as agreed. They were offered a contract for representation from ************ Agency and they failed to follow through with the provided instructions. They have not attempted to contact us since April of 2022.
This complaint is not true and accurate of our business. This current client complaint says they have been trying to reach us for a year, which is untrue, our last communication was on April 17, 2022 she submitted Headshots and Resume 3 months after the initial request, then files a complaint 9 months later.
Due to her lack of follow through the Agent declined to sign her for representation.
Here is a copy of her scheduled session, including the dates and coaches names:

We hope that this was a great adventure for you and that you had as much fun as we did. We have given you a callback because we think you have what it takes to be successful in this business. Please understand that this is a career that requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Success does not happen overnight. We are just beginning the process of our evaluation to see if we want to sign you.
Since most of you do not live in *********** (where auditions and bookings take place), we need to get you ready for our market. You can do this by working as much as you can in your local market. For Instance: Get involved with your local community. Do community theater, also as many schools and churches have theatre programs that allow you to practice your craft. There are tons of student and short film opportunities as well. You simply need to try and contact your local University, ask for their film or theatre department, and let them know that you are available for student films! Point being: Get as much experience, tape copy, and resume credits before you move to a big market such as ***********.

I paid money to this company to have my child be seen by agents for casting calls. So far nothing has been happening after the program ended they said that she qualified for another program and asked for more money to secure a spot. It looks like it's all about money with this company.Business response

This customer finished their training with the celebrity coaches and met with the agents on April 2, 2022. We are just now receiving the callbacks from the agents and are in the process of scheduling appoinments to be signed. We have attempted to contact this family, but at this time they have not responded. We will continue to attempt to contact them so that we are able to get them connected with the interested agents.
