I left a review on ******** and yelp explaining being robbed by this company (*****************************) and after seeing my review the she (the owner) is offering me 30% of my next cleaning which is absurd because I paid her $350 for the first one, my toddler and I were sick during the original return date, I tried to coordinate with her for another date and she and her family are now sick but the issue is she is saying she if she came back she would not complete the house like we agreed on. She's scamming me and pretending like she's not. I paid her and now she refuses to complete the work we agreed on or give me my money back. I initially told them that there was a lot of laundry in both bedrooms, and that's what they focused on during the initial visit. When I asked them to stop doing the laundry to clean the house as shown in the photo they assured me I shouldn't worry and that they would come back another day to clean the rest of the house, two bedrooms, bathroom, and common areas (kitchen and living room) I paid them the full $350 we agreed on for all these services and we scheduled a return date. My daughter and I were sick when it came around so I had to reschedule. I also wanted to take some time to declutter to get the most of my money. I reached out last week asking when we could reschedule and they said they were sick with *****, no problem I totally get it. But what is irritating is they ***************************** said when they came back they were only going to finish the kitchen and bathroom (which were never started) If you read what we agreed on that's not it. So she's saying she won't finish what we agreed on/what I paid her for, she won't give me a refund, and she blocked me on everything. I also asked her to remove the pictures she took inside of my home, and instead she left them up on the businesses ******** page, and added them to the business yelp page, including one with my name on the screenshot.I paid them $350 and a $20 tip to do a quarter of the work.

      Business response

      06/22/2024

On April 10, 2024 we had scheduled a cleaning service for ********************* ************************************* *****. This cleaning initially included helping declutter, clean 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and kitchen area. When arriving at the home there was unfortunately too much clutter to reasonably finish this job for the estimate provided. It took us about 10 hours to get through the bedrooms alone. We are very experienced and for a deep cleaning to this magnitude would have taken days. We had then verbally spoke to ***** about coming back and completing the bathroom and kitchen deep cleaning. She then agreed. Unfortunately, this was a verbal agreement. During this cleaning ***** had offered us drugs, marijauna and alcohol. Claimed she was a proud scammer who was in a lawsuit with Amazon. We felt very uncomfortable during this cleaning. ***** then reached out and said the agreed upon rescheduled date did not work, so we were on hold for this follow up cleaning to complete the bathroom and kitchen. Then business was closed for a bit while I was recovering from Covid. When I messaged her back stating once I test negative we will get her back on the schedule to clean the kitchen and bathroom areas she then became combative. We were still happy to complete those areas to clean. She was not happy but unfortunately, we can not go back on what we verbally agreed upon for this price. Hoarding cleans are not what my company offers. I do have a witness to this verbal agreement as well. Any research on this complainant can see that this is a common practice for this customer and local businesses. This was a learning experience for my small business that I will now make sure every agreement is completed in writing. I have multiple regulars and customers and we are well loved within the community. This is an absurd complaint.

      Customer response

      06/27/2024

I am rejecting this response because: The business owner admits to having verbally agreed to completing the cleaning I paid for and refusing to do so. I was not combative, I simply said if she is not going to complete the work she needs to refund me my money. She then blocked me on all communication fronts. I did not offer her and her coworker any drugs or alcohol and her attempt at defamation is an outlandish response to avoid the issues at hand. I am not a hoarder. My house became messy after being sick back to back with my toddler, breaking my toe, finals in graduate school, and a complicated and painful pregnancy that led to a miscarriage. I explained this to ******* and although she pretended to empathize prior to me paying her, after I paid her she used this all against me and stole my money. I don't have a lot of money and this cleaning service was to help get my house in order after the trying several months I had. I feel she took advantage of me and her business does not run morally. It's now months later and I can say with pure honesty that all they did was pick items off the floor and put them in boxes, stashing them in the closets and under the bed. Nothing is organized by category as I was told it would be, I am convinced that they wanted to focus on doing the laundry alone in my room for hours because it allowed them to gossip and talk while sitting down and not working/doing what they committed to. This was also a learning experience for me, in that I will never pay anyone for a doing a job until it is complete again. This was my first time getting help with cleaning because it was a very vulnerable time in my life and I am so disappointed that I was and am still being scammed.

      1. She admits to me paying her for the cleaning of 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom. I told her beforehand that one of the rooms had an excess of laundry and that didn't need to be her focus, she said she was fine with that and they would finish all we agreed on at the same rate I paid. I also told she and her coworker while they were organising the laundry that I preferred them to deep clean the rest of the house as the laundry would be better taken care of by me to decide what to donate. They refused. They then confirmed as they were leaving that they would be back to finish the remainder another day and would not charge me more, that I already paid a lot and they were going to make sure they finished the job that I paid good money for. I paid them in full with tip and they thanked me for my kindness and being so welcoming, they also said this was the most fun they've ever had at work and praised me for being a hard working single mother. "We absolutely loved helping you today!" (attached.) They did not once seem uncomfortable in my home. My daughter and I were sick on that date and I did not want to get her children sick so I asked to reschedule. She said to let her know when we felt better. I did so and then her and her family had covid. I asked if I could be scheduled a few weeks out to just be on the books as I was getting concerned about the money I'd spent being wasted. She said alright but that she wouldn't be completing the work we'd agreed on. That is when I asked for my money back and she subsequently blocked me. I want my money back, $370 in total. (Please refer to the additional screenshots of our conversation in which ******* states she will oragnize the bedrooms and closets and deep cleant the entire home, neither of which were done.)

      2. I do not consent to photos of the inside of my home being posted on her personal or business pages including but not limited to ******** and yelp. This is an invasion of my privacy and I want them all removed.
