I am closing my business down. Have not taken any payments for a few weeks. The company is my merchant bank. I was charged a fee through them on the part of Mastercard so I can take payments from them for the next year. I called and explained that my business is closed and I would not be taking payments. They said I needed to contact Mastercard. After having no luck getting through to someone at Mastercard that could help me I called Bankcard back and was told by a different representative that there was nothing they could do and Mastercard wouldn't take my call. I am being charged for a service I will not be using and the company refuses to refund.Business response

We are in receipt of a complaint from the above referenced merchant. In reviewing the merchant's processing history, we have concluded to the following-
We are unable to refund this merchant's $500.00 Visa registration fee because the merchant used their merchant account and ran sales for the month of January. The merchant processed a total of $209.23 for the month of January. The previous month, in December 2023, the merchant processed a total of $86.95. Although there is very minimal sales, the merchant still used their merchant account and processed transactions for that particular month/year. If the merchant did not utilize their merchant account for the month of December, we would be willing to process the refund.

These charges are applied to my account each year on February 2nd so the charges stated by Bankcard USA are on the previous years charge.
I have attached screen shots of the withdrawals from my account by Bankcard USA. Please note the dates each year. I can request more statements if needed to show when the yearly cycle starts.

I own a non profit called "children who dream". I decided not to go ahead with this merchant services company. I cancelled on October 5th 2020. Please see evidence of cancellation attached. However since then they have been billing the non profit account 131.15 dollars per month.Business response

We are responding to a complaint by the above referenced merchant. This is not a merchant of BankCard USA's. We do not have an account under that business name, address or phone number.
Please have the merchant reach out to their credit card processor who is processing their credit card transactions and cancel their merchant account with that company.
