I entered into a contract on 12/18/20 which was later amended on 2/30/21 and is still open and ongoing to present. The Contractor ************************* demanded that I pay the full amount of the contract ahead of schedule and threatened that the work would not be finished unless I did so. To date, I (Owner) have paid an excess of $7,775. to complete and to correct damages made by Contractor for inferior workmanship. HEALTH RISKS: Damage includes improper connection of malfunctioning sewer pipes leading to bathroom causing sewage backup and clogged sewer pipes.in toilets and sinks; improper installation of improper material installed (interior sheet rock) failure to conform to guidelines by his subcontractors which described proper material to be used, in order to prevent exterior rainwater from entering unit. After several incidents of flooding there is now mold growing within living space which has been confirmed by a Rain Water Leak Specialist Inspection Report, and a Mold Inspection report. Code Violation during construction - ********** Health and Sanitation laws ******. Contractor failed to provide any port-o-potty/sanitation for his workers until more than 7 mos into project resulting in workers urinating within workplace.List of Complaints by Owner against contractor include: above mentioned sanitation law; HIRING UNLICENSED SUBCONTRACTORS- (Business and Professions Code Section ****) FAILURE TO PAY SUBCONTRACTORS; BREACH OF CONTRACT ) Project should have been finished by 6/2021 but is still unfinished; ABANDONMENT WITHOUT LEGAL EXCUSE - Business and Professions Code Section **** Abandonment of Work site; VIOLATION OF HOME IMPROVEMENT LAWS - Business and Professions Code Section ****; WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE; OWNER HAS SUFFERED A SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL INJURY AND HEALTH ISSUES BECAUSE OF:Inferior workmanship - Contractor failed to provide fully functional electrical and plumbing installation, failed to follow guidelines for sealing/waterproofing interior stem wall
