Approximately 5 yrs ago on a Fri eve, I ran into a lady named ******* at the ******************, who was carrying a stack of papers. Desperate for help w/ a legal matter I asked her if she knew of a paralegal who could prepare ******** ex-spouse's) *******? That was all I needed. It so happened that she was working for *************************, ***************** of Formalities in ********. She gave me the ******** called that following Mon. That was the beginning of a web of lies. ****** assured me that was one of her specialties & an easy matter to manage. From ****** made countless appts./visits to her ofc, pd for numerous "filings" that were never filed & the ******* were NEVER calculated nor resolved. She never prepared nor filed any *******, while pretending to do so. On 02/16/24 my ex & I were able to agree upon the distribution of our retirements & AGAIN paid ****** to prepare the "Stipulation Re The Parties Retirement Plans, Pension Plans, Equalization *************** Thereon" paperwk. Because it was ********* was a holiday, she said she would e-file the paperwk on Tues, 02/20/24. She said it would take approx. 2-3 mos. to record, sign by the judge & return to her ofc. for me to pick up. In ********* after many calls to ck w/ her, she said w/ irritation, "be patient ********" & wait. I informed her that I had decided to ck for myself & would be calling downtown. She said she had to do it, because I wouldn't be able to attain that info. Well on 04/10/2024 I called. The court clerk checked the computer system & the judge's desk & informed me that NOTHING had been filed on my case since 2019. On 04/11/24 I called ****** & shared that info & told her I was on my way to the courthouse to ck for myself, but instead I decided to go to her ofc & request copies of the paperwork first. While enroute, I called the court clerk again. She informed me that the paperwork was filed only that morning at 8 a.m. & not before. This was a time sensitive matter & I consider it malpractice.
