In October 2022, an initial email was sent to the Solar Management company addressing the issue of a ceiling leak, potentially caused by the solar panel stations. Several attempts were made to have the roof inspected. Finally, in January 2023 the leak increased, and the ceiling was exposed to determine the source. It was discovered that the station screw had penetrated the roof, missing the wood plank it was intended to be installed in. This mistake created a leak that increased overtime. The Solar Panel Company demanded a payment of $700 before they would remove the solar panels so that the roof could be inspected and repaired. This delay created even more damage to the roof and interior property. Because the damage was found to be caused by the solar panel faulty installation, the insurance company denied the claim to repair the roof but did approve the claim to restore the interior property, conduct mold test and conduct mold remediation. On January 16, 2023, I noticed rainwater running down the South Wall of our Master Bedroom. I contacted our insurance company to let them know. They sent an individual to our home to determine the site of the leak. Due to solar panel installation mechanism causing a leak in the roof, the home suffered interior damage and mold. The solar panels had to be removed, by Solar Management Services (SMS) to repair roof. Our insurance company the claim paid for interior damage of the home, but would not pay for the roof repair, citing that the roof damage was caused due to faulty solar panel installation (photo available to support claim); we the homeowner paid for roof repair. Solar Management Services offered us a $1000.00 as part of the repair. To this day SMS has refused to offer an alternate installation method other than their original method.

On 04/11/2022 I was contacted by Solar Management about issues with payments that were not processed. They emailed me stating that I was behind 2 month and that I would be receiving two late fee payments if I did not pay the the balance of nearly $600.00. I returned the email with a follow up of attachments that were showing paid on my end according to their link that they send us. I let the representative know that I had requested to enroll into auto pay months ago because that was more convenient, but I was never sent the paper document that they mail to enroll. I called the company and I spoke to the representative and I voiced my concerns. I let her know that on my end when I click on the links that they send that it shows paid. She told me that the link was a 1 time use and it wasn't accurate. I responded by letting her know that the links weren't an issue on my end they worked just fine. I voiced concerns about being sent a invoice and not a proper bill, I will attach an invoice below. The invoice has no information on pay off amount, they do not have a system in place to track payments. I asked for a confirmation number or email of the payments they have received & she let me know they do not have confirmation emails or numbers. I asked for a web page where I could login and see information regarding my loan and again I was told they do not have a webpage with that specific information. The last time I was sent an invoice was in February for months March, April & May. In March I was sent a follow up invoice for the month of March which we paid. I let the rep know that I paid VIA apple pay which she told me they do not except but I sent her a attachment of it being a payment option via intuit which does allow for apple pay. I requested to have paper bills sent to my home address so we could pay it that way and she said they do not do paper billing. This loan was part of our home purchase so it defaulted to us but it has been a huge issue for us.
