On ******** I went to ******* *** **** to look at a used car. I gave a deposit of ******** I decided not to buy the car I looked at. I was verbally told by ******* that I would get my deposit back. I have called and attempted to get my deposit, but they are claiming that cannot return my deposit. Under the ********** state law, it states that no car dealer can keep any amount of a deposit if the car was not purchased. Also, in their office they have a BBB plaque on the wall.Business response

I purchased a 2007 Navigator ($****) from Regency and paid for shipment ($****) to Atlanta. I verified with the dealer that the vehicle was in good condition and good running condition because I needed it shipped to Atlanta and they verified the vehicle was in good running condition and excellent shape and just passed the smog inspection in California. Then we proceeded with the transaction and the vehicle was shipped to me. Immediately on arrival I had the vehicle delivered to my job and drove the vehicle home and it started shaking uncontrollably like it was going to cut off. I immediately contacted the dealer with my issue and they said it's fine and it just needs to be driven and put premium gas. I proceeded to take to a repair shop that couldn't say the problem and I took the vehicle to Ford as well and same result. I tried to get emissions to register the vehicle and it failed. I shipped back the vehicle and they only offered me $**** buy back. They tried to force me to keep car.
