    Our home warranty company referred us Salyers on June 7th 2024 when our A/C went out. The following Tuesday the tech came out and told me that the unit was shot. He went back and filed the papers, and we got an invoice june 13th stating that we would have to pay almost *****, as the home warranty only covered *****. We elected to move forward, with hesitation, and on June 14th gave them a ***** dollar credit card deposit, as ********** told me that with the deposit WE could start the process, ordering equipment, etc. It should also be noted that ********** told me it would be mid-late July before they would be able to do this. 10 days later having heard nothing, I called Salyers and spoke with (***** ? *****) who informed me that AHS had to order the unit, not Salyers. My wife and I decided at that point that things weree sounding way to shady, so we elected to have a local company come out and give us a quote, which we would pay out of pocket. I then called our local permit office, on a gut feeling, to see if the permits had been pulled yet. The clerk told me that a permit was pulled by Salyers on June 21,, then cancelled. Another had been pulled JUne 24, also cancelled, when she told me that neither permit had been paid for yet. I then asked what a permit cost from the city to put an A/C unit on the roof. When she told me ******, my jaw hit the floor, as the invoice clearly states ****** for permits. I then told ********** we were cancelling our contract with them, as well as AHS, and I told her i would be expecting a refund for ******** ( deposit plus tax) I also let her know about the permit discrepancy, to which she stated that the lady who did the permits had put in a lot of work.? She said she would have her manager call me, which i said was fine, and i then told her i would be disputing the fee with the credit card company.

    Our nightmare began when our home warranty company assigned them to repair our HVAC unit. I had checked their reviews and contacted our home warranty to see if they could assign a different company. They started that it was the only company available at that time to do the work. Our claim was filed on July 24th. It took until August 2 to get a tech out. He determined we needed a compressor and said it would be a couple of weeks before the part came. We had reached out to them to see how it was going and had to leave VM as no one answered. After 3 weeks and no updates we were able to get through to an agent and were advised that the part wasnt in and they didnt have any portable air conditioner we could use until it arrived. During this time we had several days over 100 degrees! On August 25th they sent a technician to install the compressor. Unfortunately the technician had only been on the job for 3 months and was not accompanied by an experienced technician! He was here for 8 hours and in the end blew up the unit along with almost hurting himself! I made multiple calls to ****** and left messages none of which were answered! I can honestly say it was the worst experience I have had with any service provider. Definitely would not recommend them!
