Hello and thank you for helping me with this situation.On March 7, 2023, I paid $160, which included a $20 tip, for a haircut and color, to **** Hair. **** rented a space at Salon Republic, in **************, ******* claimed to specialize in short hair and I wanted my hair to be a short cut. I asked if she could give me a discount, to which she said we could work something out for the pricing. I had spent the previous day searching on Yelp for a discount. The haircut she gave me was very masculine and it looked like it would suit a man, not myself. I had not asked for a masculine haircut. When I saw the resulting haircut, I was shocked and speechless Then she told me the price I would pay is $140.00. I asked what I should tip and customarily, 20% is a proper tip for haircuts/dye, etc. I tipped her $20 and left the salon in tears. **** actually saw me crying. On May 10, 2023, I contacted the hair stylist, via text, and requested a refund, explaining the way the bad haircut has affected me. She stated in her reply that she would not honor my request and wished me good luck in the future.Although there was no official advertisement, she did say she could work something out for a discount and I do not feel that there was a discount applied.Business response

This complaint is against a beauty professional in a Salon Republic facility. Beauty professionals license studio space from ********************** to conduct their business - each studio is independently licensed and operated. Salon Republic exercises no direct control in the beauty professional's business operations. The customer should submit this complaint to **** Hair directly.
