At the beginning of 4/2024, ASAP garage doors and gates installed a new motor for our swing gate. The swing gate box includes a receiver (so that the gate remote can open the swing gate). Without us knowing, this company used the old receiver, and not the one included with the new motor. After they finished the work, they told us that the new motor would have a one year warranty.A few days ago, we found out the gate was no longer responding to our gate remotes. We called them to check it out; they came out yesterday (5/11/24) and told us that the receiver board is no longer working. We thought it was under warranty because it was a newer board included with the new motor but they told us they continued using the old board. So they charged us for a new board (which should have been ours in the first place).They are fraudulent because they did not install the included board with the new motor and most likely sold that board (which should have been ours in the first place) to another customer for additional money.
