On 6/28/2024, I called Blessed Locksmiths. Locksmith ******* called me. He said he would come out to the location and there was for no charge for that. We discussed two issues and he noticed a third. He would remove a mortise lock mechanism, take off a fingerprint lock and replace it with a keyed lockset I had brought with me and rekey it to the existing deadbolt lock above and he would tighten the deadbolt lock above as it was loose. But, he was not able to rekey my keyed lockset to match the deadbolt above. He just installed one of my privacy locksets because the door needed a k*** to open it. He was unable to tighten the deadbolt lock bolts because they were reamed out and he didn't have the tools or replacement bolts to do it. He removed the mortise lock by jamming a screwdriver under it top and bottom leaving gouges in the door jam. He stopped working at the end of the 30 minutes. The bill was at $238.00 when I started to complain. I was not happy with the bait and switch sales tactics, come out for free and then charge $149.00. Next, he did not do the job we initially discussed so I did not feel obligated to pay for what he did not do. He lowered the bill $20.00 and then added on sales tax and credit card processing fees which put the bill at $216.00. The sales tax add on is just another bogus charge to pump the bill up. He applied sales to tax to labor which is not allowed in **********. California does not collect sales tax on labor. I still complained and offered him $210.00 He charged my credit card for $211.68. I asked ****** for an itemized invoice and credit card receipt. He told me I would get an email with a link for that. I got the email, the link did not work. The website for Blessed Locksmiths lists them as A+ at the BBB. They are not even rated by the BBB. Just another sign that this company misrepresents the service it provides, the accreditation it claims, and they don't leave a paper trail, no invoice or receipt.Initial Complaint

On 1/14/23 I called for a service at my business for a lock change the guy quoted me 150 he asked for photos I had him come out he removed my handles and put a lock that does not fit my door has gaps then sent me a bill for 650 dollars I stated to him the job is not complete. He began calling me multiple times I called the company to explain what was happening they began to tell me I want free service they are not ************** began sending the link to my phone multiple times harassing manner. I then requested to speak with a supervisor never did the tech called and said he would drop the price to 500 I stated no I just want the lock removed he began saying he was coming to my business and I need to pay him now. I have bars on windows AND SECURITY BAR DOORS. *************************************** MY LOCK ON SECURITY DOOR WOULDN'T UNLOCK TO LET MY NEICE IN HOUSE.. KEY TURNS LCK TURN BUT WOULD'NT UNLOCK. LOOKED ON INTERNET AND FOUND THIS COMPANY BLESSED LOCKSMITH BECAUSE LISTED LOCKOUTS. INQUIRED FEE AMT. ***** FOR HOUSECALL. I ASKED DO THEY TAKE CREDIT CARDS. THEY SAID CASH OR CREDIT CARDS. WILL HAVE TO LOOK AT THE LOCK. I SAID, I NEED TO KNOW AMOUNT-DON'T WANT SURPRISE ON FEES, I'LL CALL YOU BACK. TRYING TO REACH LANDLORD. I RETURNED CALL TO GET ESTIMATE TO GET FUNDS TOGETHER. HE SAID, I'M IN AREA, 10 MINS FROM YOU, I WON'T CHARGE YOU ANYTHING. I SAID OK HE ATTEMPTED WITH THE KEY, NO AVAIL. HE SAID LET ME SEE IF I CAN GET IT OPENED SO YOU CAN GET OUT. AFTER FOOLING WITH LOCK, GOT IT OPENED, SAID THIS LOCK IS BROKEN. I ASKED HOW MUCH WAS THE LOCK. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO CHECK WITH OFFICE. HE THEN SAID **** iI SAID FOR WHAT? HE SAID ** FOR HOUSECALL AND *** FOR OPENING DOOR. I TOLD HIM, YOU SAID YOU WASN'T GOING TO CHARGE ME. (HAVING A STRANGER IN THE HOME, NOT KNOWING WHAT'S IN TOOL BAG)) I CALLED A FRIEND TO PAY HIM FOR ME.. THE TECH SAID WE ALSO TAKE CASH APP OR ZELLE... HE WAS PAID CASH APP BY MY FRIEND. I LATER FOUND OUT HE HAD CHARGED HIM *****
