I contacted this company on May 10th, 2024.I have a small pinhole leak in my freon line that developed when my system was installed so I need to recharge the ac system with 1-2 pounds of freon annually for the last several years. Recently, my ac stopped leaking water at the condensation line and my house stopped cooling so I knew I needed a small recharge to get the ac running again. I had an event at my home with several people attending so tovar knew I was desperate to get the ac running. When I told him that I just needed 1-2 pounds of freon he got upset. He told me I needed up to 10 pounds of freon even though the compressor only holds 8 pounds. For reference, freon runs at 75 dollars a pound. I told him to just add 2 pounds into the system and he got upset. He only injected each pound of freon over 7-10 seconds and without using a scale for measurement, which is the only way to accurately guage and prove to the customer how much freon was administered. I should have anticipated that something was wrong because in the past, the hvac tech would have taken a a couple of minutes to inject a pound of freon instead of a matter of seconds.Not suprisingly, the ac did not cool the house down well and a couple of weeks later the system stopped producing cool air altogether. I called another company, which determined I only needed to add 2 pounds of freon to the system. Now, my system actually cools the house down quickly and leaks the proper amount of water at the condensation line. Moreover, the ac company told me that you can't inject a pound of freon in 7-10 seconds and that I probably just got a few ounces instead. I called a couple other ac shops which told me the same thing.
