I hired the company to come out to clear a drain at my car wash. I was quoted $389 for the job. We also agreed that if more work was needed, we would get another quote before any more work is to be performed. Now the company claims that I owe $711 for additional work for a total of $1100. The fact is, I was never informed of the additional work order. Nor did I authorize any additional work. The owner claims that he emailed me a quote, but this is a complete lie. There are no records of this. Nevertheless, they moved ahead with putting a lien on my property. I hope that this will be looked into for unethical business practices.

I want Elite Drains to honor their bid for the job and correct the invoice to reflect the work agreement, which is $389.

On March 7th Field Supervisor ************ was sent to the business and gave the customer a quote of $350 for the first 2 *********************** and each additional $300. each.

On April 15th the customer called and asked to schedule, when he asked about pricing we informed him that pricing is normally $389.00 per drain but we are giving him a return customer discount of $350 for each ********************** and each additional would be $300.00  He said ok.  On April 19th Technician ************************* was sent out to jet the line...please see his notes below:

The car wash bay was not draining. I jetted 2 lines used 4 tanks of water. was not able to clear the line. I also jetted 2 outside clean outs for the grease traps could not clear the line that way either. The customer informed me that there was one more line that I could try to jet we were not able to locate this line. The customer indicated that he would have to pump out the water in order to find the access point but it would have to be on a later date.

After the work was completed ****** tried to collect payment for the 4 drains that were jetted at his request, as he was onsite and asked that these be jetted and he refused to pay $1100.  We also offered him a significantly larger discount than quoted.  In an email he stated he would settle for $600 in which we asked him for $800.00 which is still a larger discount than quoted when the field supervisor went out and visually walked the job with the customer.

We have not yet filed a lien on his property, but that is something that we are ready to pursue if payment is not made soon.

I am rejecting this response because: Please noted that the company admitted that the drains were not cleared.  If you pay for a service, you expect it to be completed before any payment is made.  For example, if you pay someone to fix your car and its not done, would it make sense for you to pay for the service?  The quoted price is not what the company said.  This will likely go to court to, and I am ready to take this route in order to get this resolved.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

Customer had agreed to settle for $600.00 for the 4 drains, we are willing to settle for $800.00.  We really don't want to lien his property nor do we want to have a bad name.  We went out and did a service that he advised my tech to do as he was with him.
