I set up a consultation tattoo appointment for May 19, 2022. After paying him $200 deposit in cash we made a tattoo appointment for August 9th 2022 at La Familia Art in ******, **. I showed up on time for my appointment and waited. He never warned me that the piece wasnt started, I was very patient because I wasnt sure how long it takes for an artist to draw out a tattoo- I never expected him to take two and a half hours to draw it out. When he showed me his drawing after 2 and a half hours, it was very different from my request and I didn't like it. I was really unhappy, especially after such a long wait, and I had a panic attack. I took a walk outside, after having a moment to breathe I asked ****** to please meet me outside. After a long conversation we rescheduled for Monday September 12th. He asked if I could send a more thorough description of what exactly I wanted so that he could draw out the art prior to my appointment. I agreed with that request, and gave him $150 cash just to show my appreciation about his understanding. I sent him a video thanking him again and sent a very thorough description of what I wanted. I noticed he opened this message but didnt respond. I waited for him to send me a picture of my described request like we had agreed upon until September 2nd, when I messaged again to ask if he had seen my video. After no response, I messaged him again on September 6th asking if we are still good to go for our rescheduled appointment. He opened these messages and did not respond. I sent one last message saying if he doesnt want to work with me anymore I understand but that he should at least refund my deposit, and I sent him my venmo information. I didnt even ask for the extra $150 I had given him to show my appreciation, and yet he still opened my message and didnt respond. There has been no attempt at resolving this problem or providing an explanation as to whats going on. I simply would like my $200 dollar deposit back.
