Here is a copy of the email I sent to *** Gardner on 4/11/2024. He has now stated that he is turning me over to collections. I never authorized these services and have no verification that he actually provided the service for the voles. It is evident that he did fertilize my lawn - if needed, I can pay that even though I did not authorize that service this year either.Email:I will not be submitting payment for the bills received for vole treatment ($225) and for the recent lawn treatment ($39) for the following reasons:I sent you an email on 2/29/24 asking if you can treat voles at that time of year. I did not receive a response and left you a voice mail message on 3/19/24 asking again about vole treatment and for limb removal from our yard. I again did not receive any response. As a result, I reached out to another company for a treatment. On April 4, 2024, I received a bill from you for $225 for vole treatment that you indicated was provided on April 1st. You have since provided copies of 2 email responses (that I did not receive) the first one states that you will plan it, with no further detail. You provided another email that you sent on the 19th with this information: I apologize for not responding *******. I do have your job set up and finally received the product. I will be out asap. In neither case did you state the cost of the job, indicate when you would be out or ask for confirmation. I never agreed nor authorized this service. You also did not respond to my request to pick up the limbs that had fallen during the snowstorm.Additionally, I have asked for some kind of indication that you actually provided the service and nothing has been provided. You did not leave any notice at my address on the day of service. When you treated for the voles previously, I was able to see where you left the granules of poison. I was not able to see any evidence of the product. My neighbor also has a security camera that I asked her to look at for the afternoon of the 1st. She did not see any vehicle stop by our driveway.Because our lawn has not been looking great with your lawn fertilizer, I was not planning to use you this year. In previous years, you have sent a notice requesting agreement with continued service. I have not received any such notice this year and was waiting for you to reach out and then inform you that we were no longer going to use your company. I was surprised when I again received your bill and that you had treated our lawn on April 9th without my authorization or agreement for service.I have been working with you for many years and have never had this issue. I dont know what has led to this lack of communication regarding services. To ensure my clarity, please do not provide any further services to my lawn at ****************************************************************** Reportedly, the business has a new address: *********************************************

Its unfortunate and shocking that a 11 year customer suddenly decides she doesnt want to pay for service she requested.
Then proceeds to smear a 35 year old family business because he wants to be compensated for a job done.
I am the owner and i treated her property for voles as requested per her email.
We dont park in driveways when we service propertys so your neighbors camera is irrelevant.
We do have tracking on my vehicles so Id be happy to show you that.
This was a liquid application so no evidence of treatment remained.
The liquid lawn treatments we have been providing for 11 years didnt reveal evidence either but that was never questioned.
My customers trust me and thats why I have 3000 strong. I could randomly get referrals from any of them but i never have had the need.

I am rejecting this response because:  I am aware that you never park in the driveway.  The camera can see the area next to my mailbox on the cul-de-sac where you typically park.  I would like to see your truck tracking history.  When you treated the voles previously, you used granules.  If you treated with a liquid why didn't you leave a note, flag or some kind of indication you were there?  I do have a dog that I want to ensure is safe in the yard (at least until it dries).  Since it was a different product than the first time, as the home owner, I would like to be informed as to what was applied ahead of time.

I am asking you to  relieve me of the $225 vole treatment cost.  Since I know you did provide the lawn treatment even though I did not authorize it, I will agree to pay that $39.00.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

      *******,

I treated for voles and my employee treated the lawn. I did't leave a flag because the product isn't even regulated by the *** and thus not required.

The vole product used was identical as what was used before but in a liquid form. There is simply no risk to animals whatsoever.

I have already red flagged your account and credited the vole and lawn treatment we provided. your balance is $0.

PLEASE don't send us any money. We don't want it.

***It is really unfortunate when people can't trust each other and then put so much effort and time into looking for ways to be offended.

We at Gardner Turf and Tree literally have thousands of customers we have serviced for over 30 years!

I would randomly go to ANY of them to request their referral for a prospective new GTT customer.

The new customers we do attain all come from referrals anyway so that hasn't really been necessary.
