              I asked my insurance company for an estimate for a vein scan with the provider on my insurance before I went to see UC Health, I got an estimate of $402.25 for the procedure so I went ahead, expecting a bill close to this amount, I got a bill fro just the scan for $1150.88 , they refuse to adjust this bill in any way and said I also have to ask them for an estimate, I have not even had the procedure for my vein that i need as I do not trust getting a fair estimate from uc health, just the threat of sending me to collections. Their medical billing is so outrageous and patients are left with these huge unexpected bills. I would like to know how to get a fair estimate before going to get a scan . I have sent a claim for review to my insurance and am waiting to hear from them , why are patients not informed at time of service, they lure you in with a false estimate and then you are left to try and deal with an outrageous bill. I offered to pay the amount of $402.25 which was the estimate today while it is still under review but was told it will still go to collections on October 5th.

              I was seeing at University hospital in January February and didn't get my surgery surgery until April and Prior to that I had to go to the my main doctor because the spot that she said was a key Lord had 1st opened with purse and end up being assisted so they opened it and then I contacted her and so did they let her know that she needed to go back in a emergency and she still awaited to the date of the appointment that I had and the 2 spots that they opened they're still under there and they didn't get him properly but they charged my insurance almost $5000 I called her to let her know the spots were still oozing and painful and growing up under where she went in and she told me she'll deal with my skin issues On August 4th This is the 2nd time a issue like this has occurred with University hospital making wrong diagnosiswhen I went in February ******************* told me I had a keloid and I know I didn't because I have discord lupus yes and she put me on acne medicine medicine and never listen to my concerns to my concerns so when they did do the procedure
