I wish I had read these BEFORE I went here. They forced me to pay for my portion of the services my insurance may not cover. I paid $1089. My insurance covered everything and they will not give me my money back. I call and email but they have stall tactics stating **** handles this... And Rose is not in the office. I asked to speak to ************************ and was told she is too busy with her 5 other offices she does deal with billing issues. Next step- formal complaint with ****.Station Dental Group, PC Response

**** is our Revenue Cycle Manager and does handle refunds. If she is not in the office, items will have to wait until she is, but this is not a lengthy absence. There is an audit process involved but we do not ignore or stall these issues. ********************** has no role in accounting and therefore is not "too busy" but is involved in clinical matters, not financial, so it is true the teams would defer back to the correct department. This is for efficiency, not to put patients off.
For the credit the patient is expecting, this is due to an insurance denial of a covered benefit and is not immediately or necessarily a patient credit - all of our financial agreements that are signed by patients explicitly state that this is an estimate and any unpaid portion may result in a patient responsibility. However, we have resubmitted this claim to the patients insurance on their behalf as an appeal. This is always our next step and this appeal was sent on 10/26/23 to which we have not heard back yet.
As we are in network with this patient's insurance, we have to follow our agreement with insurance and if they say an unpaid balance is either a writeoff or a patient responsibility and we will follow this guideline once the appeal has been answered. We understand the patient's frustration but assure we are doing what we can to get this covered by their insurance provider. Thank you

If we could give zero stars, we would. After asking about a refund that was supposed to come to me nearly six months ago after overpaying, I still keep getting the runaround as to who I am actually supposed to speak with, apparently someone who isn't even in the office?? They do not communicate effectively or in a timely and professional manner whatsoever and I'm glad it wasn't a significant amount of money I was waiting on or I would have gone to authorities to figure out why they are so hesitant to refund me!Review from Jenny B

I have been a patient at your office for sometime now, 5 years or so. Within the last few weeks I went to your office to have my semi-annual cleaning. I have your in house insurance program and expected the cleaning would be at no charge. (included in the program). I was told I needed new xrays and exam along with my cleaning. I was told it would be 55,00 for everything. I said I don't need all that just had it done 6 months ago I just want the cleaning. Once again I was told this is how it is done and it is all included in the *****. Fine, I went to the back and full x-rays were done and a gum probe to check the health of the gums. (I don't know what that is called). The hygienist said the numbers aloud, 4,5,5,4,4,4,5,5,4,4 and so on. I found that curious since 6 months ago they were fine just a few places 4 and an occasional 5. The hygienist said I need a deep cleaning and suggested she could do it right now. I didn't have time so I said just do the regular cleaning. She said there is no use doing that it won't do any good and refused to do the cleaning. She said the front desk would let me know how much the *** will be. Nearly $1500.00, I nearly fainted, $700 something a side, and I never got the cleaning I should have received free with the in house insurance. I decided to get a second opinion and made an appointment for a new patient, x-ray, exam, and cleaning at another place. I told them I was just looking for a new dentist, To my surprise when the Dr. did the gum test the numbers were like 3,2,3,2,2,3,4,..., a couple of 4's and only one 5. The Dr. commented on how well the gums looked but I needed to focus on a couple areas. No *** and the two molars I was told were cracked and needed crowns for last 5 years from this office, The new Dentist said nothing about the one on the right and said the one on the left has a small cracked but no attention is needed. I would suggest that if they recommend an expensive procedure you get a second opinion.Review from Wendy N

I set up appointments at the ************* for my family. Things did not go well. I went with my husband to his first exam. They called him back, and I was told to wait because they were just taking him back for xrays. After about 40 minutes I confronted the front office desk when I saw the tech that took him back and told me she was doing the xrays at the desk. She knew that he wanted me there and I wanted to be there to talk with the dentist. That is when I was told he did not sign the ***** form and that he didn't ask for it to sign it. I told them no one offered it to us. Since he did not sign the ***** form, they told me I could not be back there while he and the doctor were discussing his plan of care. The dentist walks out starts to talk to me, and I tried to explain to her what was going on. She just walked away, saying nothing. So the Tech that took him back was less than honest, sneaky, and not truly accountable to me, but I am sure doing exactly what the dentist wanted her to do. The dentist was a coward and would not take any responsibility for the policy she expected her staff to comply with. That is, keep the patient seperated from the rest of the family, because things can move faster and easier that way I am sure. There was no kindness shown here and truly not family centered. Little do they know, I am a legal nurse consultant and understand ***** quite well. Abuse of ***** also has fines associated with it and maybe your practice needs to look this. My appointment was cancelled and we will be getting his xrays and record from you transferred to the new dentist that we go will be going to. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS MEET THE DENTIST - your loss. They were less than honest here, will not allow this business to abuse and try intimidation in any way again. Hopefully this is the last I will hear from them.Review from Katharine R

My son went here for a teeth cleaning in August 2020. Cleanings are covered by our dental insurance. They told my son his teeth were bad and he would need extra cleaning and it would cost more. They told him it would cost $300 more. When the **** came it was $941. This place is so dishonest and they try to scam people into getting treatments that they don't need. On top of this they have refused to talk to my son or my about why the charges are so much more than they told us they would be. Now they are calling us and threatening to send a collection agency after us.Review from Christina L

I booked a teeth cleaning at Station Dental. That cleaning never happened. Instead the hygienist looked at my teeth briefly, told me the doctor would be in to discuss getting fitted for a sleep Apnea device. Then left without the cleaning. I was so confused, when the dentist came in, I told her there must be a mistake.... I was here for me teeth. She doubled down that I probably had Sleep Apnea (What??? No, I don't. I talked with my doctor about it later and she agreed it was an inappropriate diagnosis made by a dental hygienist). I told her I was only interested in my teeth and please focus on that. So she told me I had cavities, and would come up with a treatment plan. Then she left. In walks the office manager to discuss my plan. At the point I still had not received a cleaning, but was still sitting in the dental chair, bib on. The office manager was no wearing scrubs or gloves. She told me it would be over $1000 to get my two cavities filled. I was so confused because I had good insurance. When questioned on it, she said they did not want to do a plan my insurance covered, which was weird cause they advertise taking said insurance. They said they had a "better" way to fill the cavities. When I asked that they move forward with the plan my insurance covered she refused. She then said they ran out of time to do my cleaning. She ripped off my bib (no gloves) and escorted me to the lobby. A few weeks later I had the cavities filled by another Dentist for $60 with insurance.
