I gave my semi-truck to "A Service 2 You", to get repaired, on August 23rd, 2021. We originally had a verbal agreement of the costs to swap my old semi trucks engine to the new semi truck I just bought. The owner of the repair facility, ****** had verbally gave me an estimate to swap engine and transmission from my old truck and into the new semi truck I had bought and in the total of about $4,000-$5,000. ***** insisted that I must pay him $10,000 for all of the needed parts to get this engine and transmission swap completed. He also promised me that he would get the job done in just 4-5 days. ***** was giving me the run around when it came to completing the job, as he failed to keep his promise on the time frame of when he said he would complete this job. It took him well over 2 months to finalize this job. He then tried to charge me for "additional parts", without getting verbal consent from me. He also verbal threatened us saying, at this point, its either we pay him another $11,000 or we won't get our truck back. Dealing with A Service 2 You, was a night mare and never thought I would ever in life experience this type of situation. Thank you, in advance for your time and consideration.Business response

The customer had come to my business and asked how much to change an engine, he neglected to mention that the two engines were not the same engine, and furthermore neglected to tell me the truck he bought had been sitting torn apart for a year. As far as the ********* charge that was to covert the electrical and engine mounting to the old engine, and newer truck, the 4,000.00-5,000.00 is typically for same engine remove and installation. As with any conversion there is always unseen cost of items, I didn't see the need for approval in all the little things such as engine oil, coolant, hoses, clamps etc. As the mechanic and haven't done this particular job before, it is incredibly hard to see all the things needed to complete the job, and no one like a half-done job. The wait for the project to be completed was longer than expected due to the pandemic of covid 19, it's hard to have a project completed in a timely manner especially when parts are hard to get. I apologized for taking so long, but some things are not in my control. Thank you.
