Had lease from Tynans, upon lease end, I purchased a vehicle throwing dealership. Later noted cigarette ***** in floorboard that were hidden by floor mats, the driver side rear floorboard had gap and took into fix, continues to pop out of place. Several electrical issues, yet when I bring to dealership they state they dont find any, even though I have recorded video. I had repair work that needed to be done, ****** VW said they did not find an extended warranty, which I purchased as an add on. I then contacted Tynans VW, they also said the same, I had to speak with a manager, who answered my call be saying, whats the issue. He confirmed I have a CPO vehicle and purchased an extended warranty. I have had troubles booking an appointment for service, they book so far out that by the time they serviced my car, the vehicle now was out of the 50k warranty when it wasnt upon booking abs they wouldnt do diagnostics on my vehicle without now paying. I cant get a loaner vehicle when they need my car for 3-4 days, they say they have loaners, yet they have never been able to offer on since 2018 to me. I believe I have been taken advantage of and sold a vehicle that was not well maintained, the dealership aware of the condition at the time of sale.

      Dear ********************,

Thank you very much for bringing these issues to our attention. We are very sorry about your experience and will do whatever is in our power to attempt to rectify this situation. However, there are limits to what is possible. For instance, returns, exchanges or refunds are not possible as it is the dealerships policy that all sales are final, the ***************** does not allow for a right of recission on the purchasers part and all vehicles in our state are sold as-is and as-equipped. Addressing the issues and determining necessary repairs, however, may be a possibility.

Our suggestion would be for us to set up an in-person meeting between yourself and *********************, our Volkswagen service manager, with the vehicle present so that you and he may go through each of your points and determine what is possible in terms of finding a remedy.

We apologize also that ****** Volkswagen did not have the extended service contract (***) information on file when you sought them out for repairs since you purchased the *** from our dealership, they would not have that information on file. If you need a copy of the contract, please let us know and well happily provided for future use and reference.

Please let us know if you would be open to having **** contact you via phone of email to set up such a meeting.

Thank you again for your business and again, we are sorry to hear about your experience.

      Sincerely,
      *********************

The contract was not available for *****************, so I did call ******* for the *** and to verify purchase of it. ******* also told me I did not have one and would need to pay them $189 for a diagnostic fee, this is when I requested transfer to sales manager to discuss, he answered my call by stating , "what's the issue?"  I have since attempted to make an appointment at ******* for vehicle inspection due to ongoing lights turning on and noise in the dash. I was informed my vehicle will need to remain in their possession for 3-4days. I requested a loaner, they informed me they haven't had any, which since 2018 beginning with my first lease, they have been unable to provide a loaner. I am happy to bring the vehicle in, I would request your assistance with a loaner. I also would like to make it very clear that I have brought the vehicle to the dealership with some of these complaints, videos and the vehicle returned stating they do not find any issues. As for the cigarette burn holes what is your recommendation to the solution

I purchased a 2015 Jetta Volkswagen from Tynans Volkswagen Dealership back in December 2021.Late September, early October of 2022, I started having problems with the cars clutch - being a manual 5 speed transmission. I had the car towed to Tynans service center. Which towing cost came out of my pocket. They said they did not have a loaner vehicle at the time.I had to find transportation to work because I commute from **************** to ****** every day.It was a couple of days before Tynans let me know the issue was that the clutch needed to be replaced and front brakes. It would cost me $4,000.I said I dont have that kind of money and would have to look at getting a loan. They told me to apply with ****** Credit to see if they would give me the loan to pay for the car. I did and was not approved because of my credit.Tynans said they finally had a loaner vehicle available for me to use.I was appreciative until I could get the financing to repair my car.I had the loaner car for about three and half weeks and Tynans called wanting their loaner vehicle back.I returned their vehicle and said I am still working on getting a loan to pay for the repairs on my Jetta.Meanwhile, I had to spend money out of pocket to rent a car from Enterprise Rent a car for another two weeks. I had to take money out from the equity in my home to pay for the Jetta.I paid for my car on a Saturday and drove home. That very next day on Sunday, the clutch failed again.I had to have the car towed again to Tynans. I just happened to be up in ****** when the clutch failed. On Monday, Tynans checked the Jetta out and said fluid had drained from the clutch and they fixed it no problem - no charge.I picked my car up from Tynans after work and drove home to ****************.The very next morning, the clutch failed a third time along a side street on my way to the highway to head up to ****** to work.I called Tynans very upset, especially after I had paid $4,000 to get the problem fixed.Tynans service manager was rude and said to have the Jetta towed to their sister dealership in **************** - ********************* Volkswagen. He did send me a $200 check for towing costs. But the saga continues. Now we are in the middle of November 2022 and ************** tells me they have to order parts for the clutch out of state and would take a week because of delays with bad weather back on the East Coast. This is going to cost me $725 with an additional $200 for an oil change.Again, I lost work hours and had to rent a car once again from Enterprise. ************** did not have any available loaner vehicles.A week goes by and the parts had not come in.************** fixed my car and I get home and cant back out of my driveway.Apparently, they didnt know what they were doing and had just paid $925.Consumers trust dealerships to have the expertise and certified technicians to know what they are doing.I was devastated and angry. The car was towed back to **************. I did receive a loaner car from them and had it for about a week.************** finally got to the root of the problem with the clutch.************** took advantage of me as a woman. Never really explained what these extra parts were for the clutch. So in total, I lost out of pocket paying almost $5,000 between the two dealerships, which I didnt even include renting cars and taking Ubers (another $1,000.But my main issue is with Tynans originally for not fixing my clutch properly and blowing me off to another Volkswagen dealership that didnt know what they were doing either.I want compensation back for half the money spent trying to get my Jetta fixed and take this to the state attorneys office if a resolution is not met. There is no way I should have been treated this way. I truly believe my gender and race had a lot to do with it.Thank you *********************** *********************** ************

My complaint was filed with the BBB against Tynans Volkswagen dealership in ******, **.
I am seeking monetary compensation if $2,000 from the dealership for work they did not do.
My clutch went out in my 2015 **************** back at the end of November, 2022.
I paid $4,000 to have the car repaired. A week later, the clutch went out again. I had the car towed back to the dealership.
They claimed it was something they overlooked and fixed it.
I drove home to **************** where I live.
The next day I could not back out of my drive way because the clutch went out.
I called Tynans and they were rude about it and said to have my vehicle towed to ********************* Volkswagen dealership in **************** in December 2022
********************* dealership turned around and charged me $725 to fix the clutch that Tynans claimed they corrected and had fixed the problem.
You have faith that when you take your vehicle to a dealership that they fix the problem and not rip you off.

So I want half my money reimbursed from Tynans Volkswagen dealership and the poor service they do as a business in ripping customers off.
      compensation- $2,000

The service director/manager decided to settle my complaint for compensation of $1,000.  I asked for $2,000 because they did not fix my car.
So I got tired of arguing and negotiating with them and settled for the $1,000 for my loss in paying for Ubers and renting a car.
Anyway, they want to know do you send something to them that I agreed to a settlement amount and the case is closed despite the poor quality service I received.
Let me know. Thank you again

Date of Transaction was Dec 17th, 2022. Salesman failed to disclose that our vehicle didnt qualify for Federal/State tax rebate for our 2022 Volkswagen ID4. We had no idea that we didnt qualify until we tried to do our taxes this year. Called up the salesman that helped us today, ***** and he straight lied to us. He said that he did discuss it with us, when he 100% did not. When we reassured him that he didnt, he remained quiet. Bad salesmanship and bad way to do business. Had we known that we wouldnt qualify for the rebate we would have waited for this years model (2023) and we would have asked for our deposit back. Its one of the main reasons why people go for an electric vehicle, for the rebates. 13 months we waited for that vehicle all to be bamboozled by a shady salesman at the end. Looking forward to hearing back from you guys.

      Dear ******************,

We are sorry for the situation in which you are finding yourself and wished the eligibility requirements for the federal EV tax credit were not as complicated as our federal government made them by signing into law the Inflation Reduction Act in August of 2022.
In response to the latter, Volkswagen of ******* (whose responsibility it ultimately is/was to communicate with its customer base regarding any tax credit qualification) sent out two emails to all active ID.4 reservation holders (copy of email contents are attached here) last August to make them aware that the vehicle they had reserved may or may not qualify for the federal EV tax credit given the new law.

I have also attached a screenshot of the email correspondence between ***************************** (in whose name the ID.4 reservation had been entered back in December of 2021) showing the two above-referenced emails were sent by Volkswagen on August 12th and August 19th and opened by either you or ****** on August 12th and 19th,respectively. In these emails, Volkswagen of ******* advised its reservation holders numerous times to consult with their tax and/or legal advisor on questions regarding EV tax credit eligibility and that it could not guarantee eligibility.

In summary, Tynans Volkswagen, **** acted solely as the vehicle delivery liaison of Volkswagen of ******* and as such had/has no responsibility nor any wherewithal whatsoever to give vehicle buyers any legal and/or tax advice.

Please note, however, that the ***************** **************** Vehicle income tax credit of $2,500 that was in effect during calendar year 2022 (and reduced to $2,000 for calendar year 2023) on qualifying EV purchases is separate from the federal tax credit (as a part of the Inflation Reduction Act) and you may still qualify for it. Please note also that this statement does not constitute any tax or legal advice and is only meant to make you aware of the existence of the credit and to recommend you speak to your tax professional regarding eligibility.

Again, we are sorry about this situation but have no responsibility (legal or otherwise) to make any financial accommodations in this case.

      Sincerely,
      *********************
