I called Affordable Radon Services & spoke with **** for a radon mitigation installation estimate. I was given a quote over the phone but told that the amount of the quote may go up the day of install - depending on actual measurements & the placement of the install (garage or exterior of the home). I then requested an "on-site" estimate to discuss the installation plans and actual measurements. **** told me that they prefer not to do "on-site" estimates because of the "inefficiency" of them due to time and gas. I told him that I was not trying to waste anyone's time but if I was planning on spending $1300.00 or more, I would like an accurate bid for the job prior to the install date. **** gave me the earliest date (Aug 10th) he would be able to send someone out for an "on-site" estimate but unfortunately the date did not work for us due to our scheduled vacation time. I stated that I would have to call him back with my availability once my new work schedule is posted (since I work healthcare & do not have a regular work schedule). ****** response was "I'm done with this phone call. You are a f_cking c_nt". **** then hung up. I call Affordable Radon back, but no one answered. A few minutes later I received a phone call from ***** a manager stating that he received a missed call. I explained to **** my conversation with **** and ****** vulgar name calling of a potential client who only wanted an accurate bid & install plan. ***** apologized for ****** conversation and stated that **** would no longer be working for Affordable Radon Services as of today. **** stated that as soon as he's off the phone, he will be "firing" ****. I do accept ****'s apology. I also believe that **** is not the employee that Affordable Radon wants representing their company.
