I purchased the system in 9/2021. Panels were delivered in 10/21 but nobody showed upnto do the installation. I called them at least a dozen times to see when they were planning to start. 5/22 they returned a call and said they would send a crew out from Texas to install the panels. In May they came out and installed panels. Now a different crew had to come and do the electrical end of the installation, that crew showed up in July. They drilled holes and ran pipes on the wrong side of my roof. Opposite side to where the electrical box was located. When they understood their mistake, they left. A different crew showed up in August to hook up the panels after probably left 2 dozen messages. That crew left after a day and promised an electrican would be out soon to run the electric from their box into my house. The electricians showed up in 9/22 and said i was up and running. 11/22 I still had NO solar production. I called and they said I wouldn't have enough production to even show up until spring 2023. April, May, June, July, August, September, October 2023, no production, dozens of calls not returned. I called the company my loan was through and they reached someone at Solar Edge, the panal manufacturer. Solar Edge sent me a new piece of equipment in November, 2023. They would not install it however. I was told that was the responsibility of Blue Sky to finish the installation. The new piece of equipment was installed in 11/23 on my dollar. Still NO solar production. A local installer looked at my equipment today and said there was no power from the panals to the box so I will never get any production. I have to pay the loan for the equipment monthly and still have to pay for all my electric. It's been 22 months and NO ONE will help me. I paid Blue Sky to install solar panels and they NEVER finished the job. For 22mths I have paid for a system that has NEVER WORKED ! This has cost me an additional $4400 in 22 months for electric plus $26k loan.

We had panels installed in 2022. At the start we had a few issues that were tended to. Except the fact they never told us we needed to switch and select a solar provider. So we were paying both and standard electric bill and for the panels that were producing but not being used properly. They did however reimburse us for the transfer fee, but the previous months of energy that was not reimbursed (June-September). The system is throwing error codes since December 2022. Currently in the mySolarEdge app we are showing no production since *** 2023. The electric company that bills us are are receiving 0 production information. Our bill in *** was $60 or less. The June bill jumped to $400. And there is a bill coming up for July that will be just as high if not higher. There is no way we are not producing energy on these well over 100 degree days. This issue with the solar usage has been ongoing since November 2022. We have sent text messages with no response, we have tried calling the different phone numbers listed with no response. It has only been a year since install. There is no way that BLUESKY should not have a means of being contacted. This is the time for our greatest solar production to be met and we are having to search high and low for someone to contact for a resolution. This is absurd. BLUESKY is available at all times of the day during the sale, but then there is silence when it comes to the system failing.

I had Blue sky install 37 solar panels at the cost of and after 5 months of installation and activation running around, the panels started producing electricity on the 13 August 2021. On the 28 June 2022 not even 12 months of operation the Inverter failed. It took until the 6 August 22 to get the replacement Inverter installed and working again. So the highest and hottest months of the year June-July for 70 days I had no working solar panels, my bills for those months shot up to 600 per month. Since that time only 36 of the 37 panels are working. Blue Sky sent a work crew who happily told me all 36 panels were working fine and were surprised when said I had 37 panels. Since then until today 18 January , 204 days I have only had 36 panels working. While ****** on the support said he will try to send out a team to look at it, he admitted that they do not have a team and therefore the 20 year guarantee is not being useful when there are no consequences of not complying to that guarantee. I worry whether this will be the situation for the next 20 years.

On September 20, 2021 I signed a contract with Blue Sky Solar to install an evaporative cooler, insulate my attic, re-surface my deck, build a pergola on my deck using bi-facial solar panels as the roof, and install 20 solar panels for a total system size of 7.5 kW for $69,004. I secured financing for this and started making loan payments. In March of 2022, my loan was cancelled and my payments refunded because my solar project wasnt complete, or even started. In August of 2022, Blue Sky informed me that the original project was not possible due to engineering reasons. I agreed verbally to have the solar panels installed on my roof instead, and expected a new contract for this reduced project and a layout drawing to approve prior to installation. I received neither. The panels were installed despite Blue Sky not filing the appropriate permits, and the system subsequently failed inspection. I have tried to negotiate with Blue Sky, but they refused to send me a new contract or complete the project. They are threatening to send me to collections, put a lien on my house, uninstall the system, and come to my house every day until I pay them for the original contract that they are unable to uphold. I have paid them nothing for the project at this point. The dispute is that they refuse to send me a contract for the work they actually performed, and also that the project is not complete or adequately permitted. Their only attempt at resolution I have seen is to demand payment. My desired resolution is a contract stating they will install 17 solar panels for a system total of 6.2kW for $20,000 including standard warranties and guarantees associated with a solar install. I want the correction notice items remedied and the system fully inspected and operational. I want all further communication with Blue Sky to be in written form, delivered by standard postal delivery. I want ********************* to never come to my house again.

We hired Blue Sky Solar for panels. Panels were supposed to be running 6 months ago. There has been a huge delay on everything. They said the first payment will be in November 2022, panels should be running at that time. There has been poor communication with the company and me the customer. We received a bill from Xcel , which we paid last month. Blue Sky said that they will reimburse the first payment made to them because of the delay of the panels running. Now, I have another bill from Xcel. Plus I have been paying solar panel as well, I contacted Xcel they say the solar panels are not connected. They are not running. Which the representative and the inspector said everything was running good. I have multiple time to this company and no one gives me answers. Today the representative answered the call and said that he was driving that he will call later. No calls from any of the management so far to respond to this fraud.

i got solar panels on my home about 2 years ago. I had issues in the beginning with them and had to contact the owner of the company **** and *** to get this resolved. My electric bill has been close to $300 monthly since Feb. I called my electric company and was advised that the electric company wasn't receiving a reading of the use of solar from this company. I called the company and spoke with a rep ******* who advise that he will check into and get back with me. After nearly a month waiting on a call back he said as soon as someone is available he will send someone out. 3 weeks passed he called and said someone will be out next week. Filing this complaint on behalf of my parents who do not speak ENG. Note: the address connected to the project I am referring to is the same as my personal contact address listed on this complaint. I've submitted a review and tried contacting multiple people beyond ******, who has proven to have limited information. ****** and ***** from Blue Sky Solar and Roofing LLC first made their sales pitch on October 2020 in ******, **. We were promised solar panels, 8 new windows, a new furnace, attic insulation, LED bulbs and a smart thermostat. We took out a loan from a third party to pay for the panels that would eventually take over our electricity bill. We were to get reimbursed if the panels were not up and running by the time the loan payments start on Feb 2021. Shortly after the project started, *** and ***** stopped answering phone calls/ text messages. A list of the progress made by BSSR LLC since Oct 2020: 1. Insulation has been added to the attic but not thoroughly completed. There are areas though out the attic that are missing insulation. Specifically, they focused on the areas closer to the back of the house and completely neglecting the areas above the living room and one of the bedrooms. 2. BSSR LLC contracted **** a local DFW electrician who worked on transferring the indoor breaker system to an outdoor breaker system during the Summer of 2021. This process took weeks but was never actually finished. A year later, there is still a huge hole in the closet where the indoor breakers use to be. **** said he would come back or ask BSSR LLC to send someone to finish the job but we never heard from him again. 3. The panels were installed very quickly but the approval process has been long and frustrating. They are still not on. We have been making double payments since Feb 2021 and have only received a $300 check. We want this project to be completed as soon as possible with a reimbursement plan to be disclosed and a detailed project timeline.

We did have some delays along the way, but the system is up and running at this time. I see we have paid for some of the down time, but we could add a couple of months to that. It appears the solar was working but maybe bot the full array. What would be an amount that is acceptable for the ******** family?

The copy of the contract that we have on file shows the 4 kwh solar system with the standard insulation and LED/Thermostat package. If you guys have a different version of the contract, could you please forward a copy to ********************************** if you could send a photo of the insulation with any areas that seem to be undervalued, as well to *********************************. If it is not up to current code we would be happy to send the crew back out and add some more.

Hired Blue Sky Solar and Roofing Llc to install solar onto our home. In the processes we discovered our roof had hail damage and would needed to be replaced as well. Gave the go ahead to have them help with the file of the claim with our insurance company. Fast forward to no, we have a roof that was installed incorrectly with removal of our attic vents and jack **** removal. Also the roof panels were not installed as per manufacture instructions. Also from the day our solar went active one of the solar panels has not been working. Have called and spoke to ****** in the scheduling department and they have missed two appointment to come out. We have paid for a roof and solar in full but can't get them to come back out to fix the issues.

We have identified an issue with the inverter and we are submitting it as a warranty claim through enphase.

The Decra roof was installed to spec, however *************** was upgraded to a Ridge vent at no additional cost. Our notes show it was bought and paid for. **************** believes it wasnt installed, and he kindly agreed to send photos today. If it was not installed, we will send the crew to install ridge vent at no additional costs.

This project has been a fiasco from the start. Engineer **** up plans that did not meet regional building requirements. 1. Does not meet minimum wind requirements. Yor plans 76 mph. Should be 115 mph. 2. Does not meet meet minimum snow load requirements. Your plans 10 lpsi. Minimum requirements 20 lpsi.During installation wiring for the array was reversed. Missing warning labels. First failed inspection required the above to be corrected. Also, needed call in for inspection of panel upgrade. 7 day waiting period.Installers returned 6 days later to correct the errors, and did not complete all. 1. Still missing warning label. 2. Did not update plans for wind speed upgrade. 3.Did not upgrade plans for snow load upgrade.Second failed inspection 7 day wait.Installer returned 3 days later to install missing label Upgraded plans to proper specs 10 days after inspection, as of today, 4/6/22 This is all due to errors created at the beginning. The response time has been ridiculous to say the least. I finally recieed final inspection 1st week of June so that a PTO can be requested. So I'm looking at another **** days minimum. By this time my billing cycle will be ended, and I will then be responsible for a full electric service payment. I will also be responsible for a payment on the system that is not currently functional. Due to a wiring issue ***************** did not install meters when they came on May 20th. This caused another month to the delay.Critical delays were directly caused by Blue Sky and I believe I should be reimbursed for the extra costs for electric service. Obviously customer service is not a high priority for BlueSky Solar.

      Business response

      08/04/2022

Our CRM is showing the meter was installed by Blackhills sometime in late June. So, it was functional at the time this was written. There are certainly many differences in each jurisdiction, and no 2 building departments have the same process. Although we try to move each project along efficiently, it is rarely quick and efficient. We certainly would not blame any building department, But we clearly state in our contract that we could not be responsible for something which is not in our direct control.
       On ****, this message was sent via email from our office to *******************;
"Hello ******************. I just wanted to let you know that all the information about the final inspection and it passed and was sent to Black Hills and they have sent you the Interconnection Agreement that is waiting on your signature through DocuSign, please let me know when you have approved this document, thanks in advance."

I see a note on ****, that Black Hills, received the email response from Mr. ********, however, some boxes were not checked, and that was part of the reason things got delayed. "Black Hills kicked this back because the checkboxes weren't checked on the Interconnection Agreement. I just sent it to myself via DocuSign and checked them and sent it back."

That was ****, I will also attach the application for interconnection for Black hills.  They approved our application in February, so I'm unsure what else we could have done. Black Hills doesn't have to rush things, and we have copies of their approval on our permit, and they approved the interconnection in February. I will attach both.

I will also attach the installation contract and highlight the area that explain timelines, building departments, and utility companies.

However, It appears everything is working now. We would be willing to cover a month or two of billing to show good faith. We value customer service and never want a customer to feel like they are left in the dark and not being given good information about timelines. Unfortunately, with Blackhills, we were in the dark as well.
