I purchased a 2011 GMC Acadia late August and since then it has had mechanical issues. I believe the dealer was aware of these and did not disclose in the listing or at time of purchase. Two days after purchase the car sprung an oil leak. I had to pay for the repair about $300 because the dealer wouldn't. Then two weeks ago the car would not start. I had it checked by a mechanic and it needs new head gasket and crankshaft seals. With three estimates the cheapest to repair it is $3300 which is the mechanic the dealer uses, but they recommend an engine rebuild at $4900. I understand that used cars might have issues but the timing of these problems is within a very short time after purchase and it seems like we were sold a lemon car that we cannot even use until it is repaired.

      Hello ****,

As we told your wife on ******* this is an unfortunate situation, and we understand your frustration. We did not sell you a lemon car, and we were not aware of the oil leak. We gave you the opportunity to test drive it and inspect it. We also told you that it was sold as is, which means that we would not help with any repairs or damages after you drove it off the lot. This is very unfortunate, and we apologize for the inconvenience the vehicle has caused.

I am rejecting this response because: the listing of the car stated it was in good condition with no issues. That was a false statement. Just like the ** being broken was also not listed or disclosed. Test driving a car would not present an oil leak of that nature after a very short period of time. Yes if I were a mechanic perhaps I may have noticed something, but Im not.  Its not a coincidence that this started two days after purchase nor is it a run of bad luck. There are still laws in Colorado associated with cars sold as is. This is very bad business and fraudulent misrepresentation and non disclosure.

      Sincerely,
